Beautiful little homestead and ranch. My partner and I stayed in our van and it was very easy to get there, they were very accommodating about our late arrival and showed us around. Very clean amenities and lovely little kitchen that we used for dinner and breakfast. Definitely the go if you're passing though or wanting to stay near Tamworth for a few days.

We loved our time at Ranjen Farm. Jenny and Frank (and the cat!) were such welcoming hosts with time for a chat even on a busy Christmas Eve. It was very special to be able to pat the horses. Very clean facilities. Definitely recommended for a quiet and comfy stay.

Ranjen Farm Stay
Ranjen - Frank & Jenny great hosts ti chat with. A fantastic place to camp. We were right next to the dam. A fully equipped camp kitchen and hot showers and toilets made our experience so much better. A cattle ranch with horses made the country experience. Country photos every angle. Even the Kookaburras laughing.

This was such a peaceful and relaxing stay. The amenities were excellent and the whole area was incredibly quiet, which made it easy to unwind. We met Frank, who was very friendly and welcoming.
I really enjoyed being around the farm animals—especially the beautiful horses, the large gentle bull, and the very friendly farm cat who wandered over to say hello. It added such a lovely touch to the stay.
The property was also super convenient, just an easy 20-minute drive out of Tamworth. Overall, a wonderful rural escape that I’d absolutely recommend.

Really enjoyed my stay at Ranjen Farm. It’s a peaceful spot in a great location, easy to get to and close to everything I needed. The facilities were clean and well looked after, and the camping area was spacious and comfortable. It was a perfect base for a relaxing break. Would happily stay again!

Jenny was incredibly welcoming and very forthcoming with recommendations and suggestions for the area. The sites were level and situated on the edge of a dam, with animals in surrounding paddocks.
If you’re planning to visit Tamworth, this is a little further out of town than other options - took approx 25mins to get into town.
We felt the cost to stay was a bit high (approx $55 total for 2A+2C), given other facilities we’ve camped at. However, we suspect this was mostly due to Hicamps charging for children <4 and also the admin fees associatied with booking through Hicamps.

Ranjen Farm Stay
We loved staying at Frank and Jenny’s farm. Gorgeous spot by the dam. Cute family of ducks. So many different birds and frogs. Cattle, horses, Vince the bull. Clean amenities and power. Frank and Jenny were so friendly and helpful. We especially loved seeing the new calves.

We enjoyed our overnight farmstay at Ranjen.
Facilities are old but very clean. Showers were hot, we had a site with power overlooking a billabong. A fire bin was available & Frank offered extra firewood if we needed it. There are a few kilometres of good gravel to travel to the front gate. The hosts were very welcoming.

Ranjen hipcamp is in a lovely quiet area surrounded by animals, farmland and bush. Frank and Jenny are amazing hosts

Great little spot to stop and relax. We were lucky enough to be the only campers and pulled up alongside the dam.
Powered sites was great as was the opportunity to have a campfire. Fire bucket and wood provided.
Just a short drive down to the local pub which had a nice beer garden
Huge thanks to Jen and Frank for sharing their space 🙏🏻

Great place to stop for an overnight stay.
Has all the facilities needed to make your stay comfortable. It is rustic, plain and simple.
Frank and Jenny were extremely welcoming and informative with what was happening in and around town.

We came as guests and left as friends!! Amazingly friendly hosts and so accommodating. We were the only people camping here and it’s a rural working farm so it’s not immaculate, it’s used and useful but you just feel at home. Fully equipped kitchen and toilets and hot showers!!! Fire pit, food, wine, watching the sunset over the dam. Stunning!!

Great facilities on offer at Ranjen Farm stays, can’t complain when you get to camp and have hot showers and a proper bathroom and kitchen. Recommend if you are coming through, great to have a yarn with Frank and Jenny 🍻

We loved camping at Ranjen, incredible setting and simple but clean facilities.
Jenny was lovely and it was wonderful to be surrounded by horses, a bull and incredible sunrises and sunsets. Lots of family friendly things to do around Tamworth.
