Great spot, peaceful and quiet, surrounded by horses, chickens and ducks- perfect 👌. Close to the house but not a problem, no noise or intrusion. Bathroom close by. Great hosts. Easy cycle into town. Would choose to stay here again. Feeding carrots to the horses was my highlight ✨️

We really enjoyed our stay. The site is very private, nice and shady, close to the hosts house but you would not know. The amenities were nice and clean and Christine gave us clear instructions on how to get there and a warm welcome on arrival. Just remember to pack a converter as the power is via a standard 10amp. Definitely would stay again if travelling through Tamworth again.

We both loved our recent stay with Christine and Dave. We loved it so much we will certainly stay again when we head back that way again hopefully in the future. Very quiet peaceful and relaxing spot nice mowed green grassy areas being only a short distance to Tamworth roughly 2km. Bird life was beautiful toilet shower was nice and close to us all and very clean. Certainly home away from home.Thank you so much again for our stay. Kindest regards Tracey and Rob.

Peaceful campsite close to town
If you had the choice of either a caravan park or Christine’s land, Christine’s would win hands down. What a beautiful spot! We only stayed for 4 nights, could have stayed for 4 weeks. Had everything that we needed. Fell in love with the peacefulness and a beautiful horse. There’s even a small walk to the Peel River to go for a swim. Would highly recommend.

Really lovely and peaceful - we were lucky and had the place to ourselves.
It truly felt like we were miles from anywhere, but we were actually only about 5 minutes to Tamworth so felt like the best of all worlds. Loved sitting looking out over the paddocks, watching the horses checking us out, and wandering down to the river.
Great to have access to power (10Amp), water and a nice clean flush toilet.

We enjoyed two nights at Royal Oaks and loved the location right on the doorstep of East Tamworth but on small acreage fronting the Peel River. Chris was warm and welcoming, showing us to our campsite and providing local information. Chris has great facilities, we used our time to catch up on washing and really appreciated the clean and easy access to the hot shower and flushing toilet and water to fill our tank. We fished the Peel River and generally relaxed enjoying the rural outlook and surroundings. Thanks Chris for a lovely stay.

Lovely quiet rural property but also only about 3 klms to the centre of town. Water, power and amenities were a plus.
Christine and David made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend.

Chris and David’s little slice of paradise is a great stopover to explore Tamworth and surrounds from. Clean, private amenities and pretty outlook camped next to the barn. Horse visiting for carrots a bonus. Thanks Chris and David for your hospitality :)

We absolutely loved our stay at Royal Oaks. We camped in our camper. It was peaceful and quiet. The farm is lovely with lots of shady trees and birdlife.
The owners were very accommodating. It wasn’t far to the main centre of town.
Highly recommend staying here.

Perfect spot to be located just far enough from the hustle and bustle of the festival, but close enough to walk/ride in. Beautiful trees surround camp area, providing shade. Access to shower and toilet a bonus. Hosts were helpful and friendly.

Would definitely stay at Royal Oaks again. Christine and David were very hospitable and provided everything we needed. Amenities were nice and clean and our site was level and nicely shaded. River access was a simple stroll and water was up and flowing well which was a bonus with the hot weather.

Lovely grassy area with shade, stables with a bbq. Nice toilet/shower.
We came to stay here for the Tamworth Country Music Festival. We thought it was walkable distance to Peel street but was too far. Especially in the heat of the day or late at night.

Had a wonderful time at Christine's beautiful setting for our caravan looking down the poplar lined paddocks, facilities were great too, nice and close to Tamworth town easy drive or walk in along the tree lined street, very pretty area , nice and quiet.
Christine was a fabulous host really enjoyed our time there and will be rebooking again soon. Thanks for having us Christine x

Lovely flat, well grassed areas to pull up . Access to power and water, a toilet and hot shower as well as a BBQ, tables and chairs set up under cover. Great facilities !

"Peaceful campsite" accurately describes this fabulous, green oasis of a Hipcamp. Christine and David made us feel very welcome and offered us the most perfect covid safe haven while we waited for our traveller covid test requirements (to get over the Qld border). They're avid bird rehabilitators, have a couple of horses, a lovely dog and a beehive. We thoroughly enjoyed the birdlife & listening out to a few different frogs. We were the only campers there at the time, so we we had the ensuite and campsite to ourselves - perfect! Highly recommend this Hipcamp if you want seclusion.
