The best camping near Moree

Hidden away in the agricultural heartlands of northwest New South Wales, Moree is best known for its artesian springs, which tumble down from the Great Artesian Basin. A soak in the mineral-rich thermal waters is a must for weary travellers passing through the Gwydir Valley or heading north to the nearby border of NSW and Queensland. With time to spare, stick around to go bird-watching in the Gwydir wetlands, paddle the waterways in a canoe or kayak, or try your luck fishing along the creeks. Dthinna Dthinnawan National Park is also within day-trip distance, where you can explore rugged 4WD and mountain biking trails. Check into the tourist park in town, which has a choice of powered or unpowered sites, space for larger motorhomes and caravans, and amenities such as a camp kitchen, laundry facilities, and BBQs. Alternatively, you’ll find rural campgrounds and Hipcamps dotted throughout the surrounding regions.

Basic camping site. Off the main road so dry weather access only. Plenty to look at on the farm if you let us know - Hiking/Mountain or dirt bike tracks/Garden tours can all be arranged with a bit of notice. The camels will probably want to check you out at this spot. Please note, this is a working farm so if you could give way to any machinery you come across that would be much appreciated.
