This was a great experience and Rick showed us everything about fish farming, very knowledgeable. Instructions on how to get there were clear and Ricks number provided to call when you arrived. We were made very welcome from the minute we arrived, the donkey shower looked great but ran out of time to use it. Definitely worth a stop for a group & good for kids plenty of room to explore. Perfect spot for a rustic wedding. The only downside was the dirt road on the way in which is the responsibility of the council.

If you’re traveling through or around this part of the country, do yourself a favour and pull up at Narrabri fish farm for a night or more. Ricko and his family are the cream of the crop. They’ve put so much thought and effort into the space and when it’s time to leave - you won’t want to.
Camping facilities and spaces are awesome, super fun fishing and playing with the yabbie traps and the breakfast they put on in the morning (bacon and yabbie omelette) is to die for.

We had a wonderful stay at Narrabri Fish Farm. It’s quiet, not crowded, which made the stay more relaxing. As a bonus, horses occasionally wander by, which was such a lovely surprise. Check-in was easy with no hassle at all. Only there for a night, i wish we could stay longer. Would definitely recommend!

This was such an awesome experience for our group! We travelled with 4 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs and Rick and his family just went above and beyond on all accounts!
We stayed on an unpowered site in tents and we had a peaceful and relaxing time.
Highlights were the fish farm tour with Rick himself, it was interesting to see all the hard work that goes into managing this property, and we loved being able to pop up to the kiosk and grab a coffee! Oh, and we have to mention the donkey shower which as other reviewers have mentioned is awesome!
We will definitely be heading back down in the future! Thanks Ricko and fam for hosting us :-)

Outback Fish Farm
The farm is well maintained, Rick is very welcoming. He is happy to chat or answer any questions. The stay itself is very relaxing, campers need to be self suffient bins provided through.
Rick took us on a tour of his farm and explained the process of catching breeding fish, the breeding process, as well as, catching and releasing fish into the waterways. His dedication to us during the tour enabled us to catch a fish or two and enjoy this experience as a family. The children collected some yabby claws for show and tell. There were several unique experiences such as, the outdoor shower heated by a small fire, eating yabby omlette and drinking water from an underground bore, just to name a few that gave this camping stay its charm.
We enjoyed our stay and will return again when travelling through the area.

Campsite was fantastic- easy to find a level spot for the tent, showers were clean and pleasant to use. The farm was nice to walk around and tidy. Rick was such a lovely host, checked in with me in the morning.

So quiet with just the horses and wildlife.
Rick did a check in with us and let us know we could contact him if needed but left us to ourselves. Which was perfect.
The donkey shower was a special treat especially after travelling all day.
I would highly recommend a stay out at the fish farm.

Ever in Narrabri, this place is a must do. Just spent 4 days at Narrabri Fish Farm. Cheap with wide open grass sites set in the bush. Bush showers. Camp kitchen and everything you need. Even has cabins. Beautiful peaceful setting and the owner, Rick, is an Aussie bloody legend. Well versed in local knowledge and talking bullshit, he was an absolute card. With his big Territory grin and sense of humour, he made our stay welcoming and we had a wonderful stay… highly recommend

We recently had the pleasure of staying at one of the HiCamps locations, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at home with Rick as the host. Rick was incredibly hospitable and knowledgeable about the area, making our experience even more enjoyable.
Our two young boys had an absolute blast catching yabbies, which was a fantastic way to get them engaged with nature away from their devices. The thrill of catching and learning about these little creatures made for unforgettable moments as a family. It’s a pet friendly property which was a bonus
The surroundings were beautiful and serene, perfect for relaxation and outdoor activities. Whether you're a fishing enthusiast or just looking to escape into nature, this is the place to be.

What a beautiful place to stay! Let me flag this spot as idyllic in the spring - the birdlife, the wildflowers, the very congenial host. Close enough to Narrabri to just pop in, but you feel like you're a million miles from any town. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - we were in a self-contained small caravan.

Great place and the layout you could go and camp and feel like your by your self due to the amount of space. Even though we going people still wanted to camp near us “go figure”.
Rick is an amazing host going above and beyond to tuck travellers in. Great friendly personality with an outgoing and warm nature. Would give you the shirt of you back sort of guy if you needed it.
There is toilet facilities and showers to die for, hottest and best pressure shower I’ve ever had camping. I came back cleaner. Go figure.
Sunset showers every night.
Fishing was a no go at this time due to breeding time but that was not an issue as I got a tour of park and the place is that big I went for walks each day with my dog off leash. The fact that I could go off leash was great. There was abundance of birds and other wild life.
Great place great vibe and energy to it. Will definitely be back again if not the place but the host Rick.

An amazing place to camp, Ricco was very welcoming, he brought us some firewood and set up the woodfired shower for us (the best camp shower you will ever have.) His Hospitality was next level. Amenities were excellent. We had a lovely visit from the neighbouring horses at dinner time. Was just an overnight stop on our way home but we will be back 100% for a proper visit.

Such a fabulous place to stay. Spacious, great camp-fire spots, lovely eucalyptus trees providing shade and beauty. We loved spotting the huge cod in the dam. Would definitely stay again.

We loved staying at the outback fish farm, Ricko made us feel very welcomed from the moment we arrived!
Plenty of room for bigger vans ours being 22foot, each site has your own fire pit that is stocked with wood each night and the donkey shower is a really nice addition.
Rick brought over yabbie traps for our daughter and she had a ball pulling in yabbies all arvo, would highly recommend a stay at ricks!

Loved staying at Ricko’s campground. He was easy to communicate with and a top bloke. Facilities were fantastic. Very easy to setup. Love that they don’t overbook, even over the Easter break. There was plenty of room for everyone. ricko came around everyday with firewood. Thanks for a great stay! You should charge more though. It’s worth every penny!!

Amazing spot. Good clearings for vans and groups but surrounded by trees. Donkey shower was a must and Rick just makes the place what it is. Drops in for a friendly hello. His dad jokes are shocking but he makes up for it with a load of firewood everyday. Fish farm tour a must. Was kid and dog friendly with horses and pigs to show the kids. Bins and fire pits provided too. Camping made easy with heaps of sites to choose from.
