Please note, however, that we are a working farm with ongoing activities and resident animals, including livestock and farm dogs, so all pets must be kept under control at all times. We are located a short 13km drive off the Hume Highway and only 45 minutes from Wagga Wagga the largest inland city in NSW. Not only is Gundagai the gateway to the Riverina but the Snowy Mountains Alpine area is within a day trip from here too, making it a great central location. We are sheep graziers, and in season, visitors can observe the newborn lambs or freshly shorn sheep. There are no amenities available, self contained camping only. Campfires permitted in designated areas when restrictions aren't in place. Please consult hosts regarding fires during dry summer months even when no fire ban in place. Good access for caravans Karoola gives you the opportunity to fish, swim, boat or kayak on the river. You can walk along the riverbank or up onto the rocky outcrop for a great view of the Murrumbidgee floodplain and surrounding farming country or perhaps you would just like to relax with a good book and drink under the huge gumtrees on the riverbank in peace and quiet. Just 15 minutes down the road is Oura Beach.. a little reserve on the Murrumbidgee river. Only 25 minutes away is the famous Junee Chocolate factory. Just a short 11-minute drive is the Wild Vine Winery and if you would like to indulge in some pampering book yourself in for a massage with Brooke at Figtree retreat just 7 minutes drive away. Our Space: The guesthouse is approx 100m from our home. In saying that you still have your privacy as there are gardens between us. Being a working farm you will see us moving about however we will leave you be unless you would like to interact! The guesthouse has 2 levels with the upstairs level containing a queen bed with luxurious Sheridan sheets and French linen bedding, reverse cycle aircon, flow-on heating from the fireplace downstairs, and a bathroom ensuite with a shower and toilet with toweling included. There is also a balcony off the upstairs room overlooking the gardens and market garden space. We also provide comfy and warm swags and camp mattresses for up to 2 kids to sleep in. Downstairs is a separate toilet, dining, and lounge area with a double fold-out sofa bed. The woodfire provides plenty of warmth and we provide you with chopped wood. The kitchenette is a simple little kitchen with a bar fridge, benchtop induction cooker, and a slow cooker for your meals as there is no oven. There is also a BBQ for your use as well. It is well equipped to dine at home with all essential cookware and locally sourced condiments. Enjoy your meals inside or in our outdoor dining setting. There is a full house water filtration system giving you beautiful quality water to drink and shower in. We provide a variety of herbal teas and locally ground coffee with a coffee machine. Relax with our selection of books and games. There is a steam sauna available for use as well. Take a walk by the creek and maybe take a picnic basket to enjoy there too. If you would like a personalized tour of the farm please let us know prior to arriving. Guest access You will have your own access to the guesthouse with a car space. Feel free to wander the market garden space and explore the creek and paddocks. Other things to note There are some open water areas including fish ponds and the creek so small children must be supervised to ensure their safety

Met up with friends from Sydney and Melbourne for 2 nights as its about halfway. Leah was very friendly and helpful, the fresh eggs were great, Coco the dog checked on us regularly. And great views of the surrounding fields. Would recommend.

This campsite was absolutely perfect for our stay. Leah, the host, was extremely friendly and accommodating, which made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The view was spectacular, and we loved how private and peaceful the campsite felt. We also fell in love with their gorgeous older kelpie, Coco, who got along beautifully with our dog — such a sweet highlight of the trip. The amenities were excellent and everything was clean and well set up. The location is also very convenient, being close to Wagga Wagga while still offering a quiet, rural feel. We highly recommend this campsite and would happily stay again.

We loved tent camping at site 2. Leah met us as we arrived and was incredibly helpful in showing us where our site was and pointing out where the amenities were. We really appreciated how accomodating Leah was to our individual needs. Our camping setup is primitive, but Leah offered us more permanent shelter when a big storm rolled through during our stay. Use of the pool and interactions with the farm animals were added bonuses. We couldn't be more grateful and highly recommend that everyone stays here when visiting the region.

Very welcoming and even took us around the farm in their 4x4. Kids loved it, slept like a log and would highly recommended for an overnight stay.

We booked Site 3 but decided to upgrade to the glamping as it was a milestone day for us and also the last night of our trip. Jarabin is a great spot and one we have visited and camped at before. The hosts were wonderful to communicate with and we loved the BBQ meat package. The thin sausages were superb and we will be buying them again. It's a great spot on the river whether you decide to camp or glamp like we did. Well done to the hosts, it's a credit to their time and effort.

This was our second time staying at Jarabin - it’s one of our family’s favourite HipCamps. The property is beautiful and quiet, and we ordered the BBQ pack again which was brilliant. Instructions to access the property are very clear and easy to follow. Although the weekend ended pretty wet, the weather held out long enough for a post-dinner swim in the river with the sunset in the background. Pretty close to perfection!

Wonderful open area with plenty of options along the riverbend. Fishing difficult due to snags but we definitely gave it a good crack. Very steep decent down to river camping area. We had heavy caravan and luckily dry weather allowed us to get out ok. Also an awesome winery 🍷 2 mins away.
