The 15-acre camping area is part of a mixed-farming property (1,500 acres) and has easy access for campervans. The site is 8–10 minutes from Gundagai. A canoer’s paradise! Put your canoe in a few kilometres upstream and finish at the campsite, or simply enjoy the solitude around the fire. A scenic drive following the Murrumbidgee and Tumut Rivers can be taken as an alternative route to Tumut or Gundagai. The site can be used as a base camp for fishing, wineries, bushwalking, and ski fields. There is free firewood for campfires. Friendly, well-controlled pets are welcome, as long as they don’t disturb other campers. Please be mindful that cattle and sheep may be grazing nearby. "The Orchard" is a beautiful peaceful 5 minute walk down a gravel road with big trees to our Cidery where you can taste and take back to camp some of our cider or sit and have a drink while watching the animals being fed. Maybe book a tour where Tony will show you how we make our cider from the orchard to the bottle and Lorene will show you the amazing animals. You can always jump on your bike and head out on one of the many tracks in the area. You will need to be self sufficient and have your own toilet, water etc. There is no power in The Orchard. Due to people using the orchard as a toilet we are now no longer taking people tenting. You MUST be self sufficient. Head in Batlow to check out the bakery, RSL and Pub and admire the beauty of this small town. Or head upto Tumbarumba where you can visit the Winerys and Ginnery, have lunch at Coroubya wines,The Nest or one of the many cafes. Maybe take the challange of the Tumbarumba rail trail. Check out the water falls, the blowering dam and take in those beautiful mountain views.

Basic single bed set up with basic linen however it is required that you bring your own temperature rated sleeping bag for seasonal Camps in winter and shoulder periods. The weather can change very quickly, and temperatures can drop to below zero with snow in Winter. Campfires are allowed during the winter season and each bunker has a fire pit. Our aim is to provide a comfortable bed in an alpine off grid setting for those who seek an experience in nature. Located on Batlow Road you will experience some road traffic noise and log truck activity during peak hours in the morning and afternoon. A small reminder that you are still close to civilization.

Adelong Falls Bush Camp offers a beautiful open, flat camping area on 2 acres of land. There is 13 old friendly Cows who also share the property and you may see them wandering around. Enjoy the brand new walking track at the front of the property which takes you up to the beautiful Adelong Falls. The walking trail will have you crossing the Adelong Creek and is a beautiful and scenic experience. We are close to Tumut and within reach of the Snowy Mountains, there is plenty of 4WD opportunities and beautiful views surrounding us. We are also walking distance to the pub! Campfires are welcome in the fire pit we have created, we will supply a small amount of firewood to get you started but you may like to bring along some more. Being a working farm you will see us moving about however we will leave you be unless you would like to interact! The guesthouse has 2 levels with the upstairs level containing a queen bed with luxurious Sheridan sheets and French linen bedding, reverse cycle aircon, flow-on heating from the fireplace downstairs, and a bathroom ensuite with a shower and toilet with toweling included. There is also a balcony off the upstairs room overlooking the gardens and market garden space. We also provide comfy and warm swags and camp mattresses for up to 2 kids to sleep in. Downstairs is a separate toilet, dining, and lounge area with a double fold-out sofa bed. The woodfire provides plenty of warmth and we provide you with chopped wood. It is well equipped to dine at home with all essential cookware and locally sourced condiments. Enjoy your meals inside or in our outdoor dining setting. There is a full house water filtration system giving you beautiful quality water to drink and shower in. We provide a variety of herbal teas and locally ground coffee with a coffee machine. Relax with our selection of books and games. There is a steam sauna available for use as well. Take a walk by the creek and maybe take a picnic basket to enjoy there too. An extensive river side campsite with easy 2WD access to the property. A mix of clear campsites suitable for caravans and tree grove campsites great for rooftop or tent camping. There were drop toilets available which were surprisingly clean. Be aware that in summer months the fly population will be significant due to it being a working cattle property but in cooler months no problem and the bonus of being able to have a campfire.

We loved our stay at Bahwidgee. So peaceful and relaxing. Was easy access in on a well maintained road. Level grassy sites of your choice right on the Tumut River. River was a bit chilly due to recent snow but was so refreshing. We loved the cows coming past for their afternoon stroll. Thanks Wayne for offering a beautiful property for others to enjoy. Highly recommend. One of our favourite Hipcamps so far.

Great spot right on banks of Tumut River. Clean pit toilet, friendly cows, plenty of space and privacy. River was cold when we were there in December but still beautiful for a dip and crystal clear. A sign of a good hipcamp is if you would return or not and we will certainly be back.

Beautiful spot, views amazing, ditto birdlife. About 8 to 10 riverside spots, which are easy for any vehicle to access and can cope with large groups. Only 5 mins from Tumut coffee etc but can only see hills and river from camp. Camp-site area is regular rectangle bounded by river on one side and fences on the others, so could fit another 8 to 10 along the back. 87 would prob require vertical stacking.

Bahwidgee is one of the best hip camps we’ve had to pleasure of staying at. Absolutely beautiful waterfront site, so much space to choose from, amazing scenery and you’re 5 mins from the Main Street of Tumut. Not that you would know because it’s so peaceful and quiet. Wayne is an awesome host, great communication and a friendly helpful guy. We have already started looking at when we can return with friends and family.
