Kallarroo Farm, nr Nimmitabel

Kallarroo Farm is located near Nimmitabel outside of Cooma, New South Wales.

Set near the Numeralla River, between two national parks, a short distance to the famous and beautiful Snowy Mountains.

With 1000 acres of rolling country - including native forest, park-like grazing land, and three kilometers of Numeralla River frontage - there's a lot to do at Kallarroo!

Stay in rural comfort in our rustic and secluded log cabin with sweeping, views down the valley and mountain property, or set up camp at our peaceful, private camping site, where you'll enjoy river views from gently sloping grassland on the boundary of the property.

Either option will provide a real taste of traditional Australian farm life and allow you to explore our majestic Snowy Mountain landscape.

We take great pride in being a pet-friendly accommodation! To cover the additional cleaning and maintenance required for accommodating pets, we have a pet surcharge of $50 AUD per dog per stay.

Kangarutha Farm

Visit Tathra, but stay at Kangarutha, only 2km from the edge of town, and enjoy space, privacy and tranquillity.

We intentionally only have a limited number of campsites on our large property, so that you can enjoy camping in a natural setting away from the crowd.

Our stunning property is comprised of open paddock areas surrounded by large areas of native forests, and we border national park.

Enjoy the forest trails here on the property, which take you on a tour to our peaceful back dam. Or explore further afield - our place links to both the Tathra-Kalaru bike track and the Bournda National Park, where you can access the Tathra Mountain Bike Trail Network, as well as the secluded coves along the Kangarutha Walking Track.

Our property was home to the former and well-loved businesses 'Kangarutha Nursery', and 'On the Perch Bird Park'. We have been busy re-imagining these spaces.

We have drinking water, flushing accessible toilets and one hot shower a short walk from the campsites.

Our property is dog friendly for well behaved dogs that don't chase wildlife or the horses on our property. No hunting dogs.

Campfires permitted when there are no restrictions. You can gather your own wood, or we can prepare wood for you.

Earls Farm

Welcome to Earls Farm - Campground

Only 12km south of Eden, situated at the unspoiled Kiah/Towamba River, guests may enjoy swimming, fishing, paddling and bush-walking without the crowds, and/or relax and enjoy bird-watching in a private tranquil setting. 
There are 2 campsites next to a private branch of the river with a tidal pool perfect for young children (the main river is about a 300m walk) . Each campsite is large, around 50m in length, that share a central toilet.

2. Creekside is where the bus is parked (although the bus is no longer there!).

Merimbula Camping

200 acres of scenic farm paddocks with seasonal creek, and forested hills adjoining the Bournda National Park. See kangaroos, wallabies and wombats and if you are lucky an echidna or deer! Horses also live here and are separate from the main camping area.

Merimbula Camping is an ideal place to camp during Wanderer Festival 2025. 

We accept only a small number of campers to ensure everyone has a few acres each and peace and quiet to enjoy the natural surroundings.

Sites are generally more secluded as go from 1 to 10.

Sites are walking distance to a composting toilet (check site details).

Good phone reception.

Dogs welcome. They can go off leash if supervised during the day.

No loud music. No loud parties. No motorbikes. No generators. Please keep noise to a minimum.

5 mins drive to Bournda NP and Lagoon/Island/Beach, more beaches, Tura Beach Woolworths, petrol station.

10 mins drive to Merimbula, Magic Mountain and Tathra.

There's plenty of kindling and small branches around so you can help yourself.

Or BYO wood,

BYO chainsaw (just ask, we can let you know where to cut wood), or pay us to bring some to you - we can bring it to you once you choose your exact spot.

Kiah Wilderness Camp

Full privacy with only one group per secluded site. Spacious level grassy campsites on the Towamba River, a pristine estuary that runs into Twofold Bay. 10 minutes on bitumen south of Eden and close to many of the Sapphire Coast's stunning coastline, National Parks and attractions. 

We are not and never will be a 'caravan park' - your group will have exclusive use of the campsite. Each are far from each other, both are right near to - or very close to - the river. Our guests love the tranquility and not having to share!

Fish the river for flathead or bream and enjoy it for dinner by the campfire. Bring your kayak or SUP or just enjoy a swim in the clear sandy-bottom river.

Once you have booked let us know if you need more specific directions so you can find us easily. 

Well behaved (spoilt) dogs okay but please no hunting type dogs. Both sites have access to separate taps for fresh drinking water.  Site #2 has access to our composting toilet. You'll need to bring your own chemical toilet for Site #1 (near) Boatramp site. 

Firewood can be collected from the property or supplied at a small fee (you can book this when you book your site). Feel free to collect your own kindling - plenty around). Good mobile reception on the Telstra network.

PLEASE NOTE: the property is currently listed for sale. We are happy to take forward bookings with this understanding and will contact all booked parties well in advance if we sell. The market is very slow so we do not expect a fast sale and will ask for a long settlement so please still book :)

Rose Gum Farm

Come and enjoy a flat, grassy patch with creek access on our 170 acres of bushland. Campers will enjoy an abundance of wildlife - birds, wallabies, wombats and more!

Bush walking, Ride bikes and Explore the creeks.

The property has provides easy access to enjoy the local area, with nearby national parks and forestry, Myrtle Mountain Lookout just a short drive away and a leisurely 15 minute drive into the quaint historic town of Candelo where you can enjoy the general store and the occasional farmers market.
Merimbula is only 22km away, where you can explore stunning beaches, boutiques and pubs.

The camp area is dog friendly, but please be mindful of the wildlife and keep your pets under control.

There are no facilities here, the camp area suits self contained campers who BYO camp toilet and leave no trace.
