2 nights at Cargo Road Wines

I highly recommend James for his hospitality and Cargo Road Wines for a camping experience that is memorable. Spanning over 16 hectares there are so many camping sites to choose from and it's a pleasant view waking up to the sunrise and Vineyards as well to the sound of sheeps. We also opted for the wine tour where James gave us some background story of himself and The Vineyard itself and it definitely has made me appreciate wine more than before. Will definitely camp here once again in the near future. Our Little Jack Russell Puppy also enjoyed running around the Vineyards along with the sheeps and Kelpie

1 night at Cargo Road Wines

We stayed at Cabernet 1 site at Cargo Road Lane. We absolutely loved our stay and would love to camp there again. Our site had beautiful views and was surrounded by grape vines, with enough space to be away from other campers and for the kids to play. James was very friendly and helpful and the wine from Cargo Road was great too! Looking forward to staying here again and would recommend to anyone wanting a farm stay experience.

Beautiful spot to spend a weekend. Huge 50 acre spot admist sheeps. Felt very safe with the locked gate.

Weekend Trip to REVELSTONE MOUNTAIN CAMPS

Amazing spot in a beautiful part of the country. I didn't have enough time to get around the whole property but the tracks and signage were clear. The drive up the hill to the camp-site was a bit of fun as a beginner 4WD driver. Great firepit and great view. I just had the Ute and a tent but plenty of room for a caravan. Would highly recommend.

3 nights at REVELSTONE MOUNTAIN CAMPS

I had a beautifully peaceful (and at times rather windy) stay at Liberty Views Base Camp. Graeme was very helpful, and was proactive in communicating with me around location of the camp spot and the layout of Revelstone and what to expect . If you are in a camper trailer, caravan, slide-on etc, you may need a little bit of levelling at Liberty Views. All the camping areas at Revelstone are well signed and easy to find. For the 'mountain' sites, which are spectacular, you definitely need a proper 4WD to access them if walking is not your thing.

Weekend Trip to The Orchard

Magical spot, great area for the dogs to run around, highly recommend walking the trail on the property to the orchards and picking apples. Tracey was so friendly and very informative. Thanks for having us and we hope to be back.

Nice and quiet location next to orchards and vineyards. Clean and convenient amenities of showers, toilets, and laundry, if required. Tracey was very welcoming and accommodating - we’ll be back!

Weekend Trip to The Orchard

The Orchard was a nice quiet place to stay, even though it was next to a small back road, there was minimal traffic. It was great to have a toilet and shower on site for our use. Tracey's directions were clear and easy to follow, and it was easy to get in and out of Orange for events. We stayed in the lower paddock and there was plenty of space between ourselves and 3 other campers and caravans.

3 nights at Hillside Harvest Orchard

Loved the location and friendly staff in the shop. Gave us a better place to set up after we arrived. The little shop is wonderful with a wide selection of local produce. Highly recommended this Hipcamp.

The campsite was clean and well maintained! We had toilets at our campsite that were very clean! Instructions given by Michael were easy to understand and follow! Loved that it is off leash friendly as my dog had a blast exploring around the campsite! We will definitely be booking another camping trip there in the future!

Lovely site - great views overlooking the valleys and other mountains, with gorgeous sunset And green grass, cool, clear air and no flies after the heat and dust of SA - so refreshing. A local Hipcamp let us down at 5.30pm after a full day of traveling and within 20 mins we were well on the way to Rachel’s place, on bendy roads with stunning views. Rachel responded super quick and saved our day - particularly as it was husbands bday! Then Rachel left us eggs and tomatoes before we left. Star hostess.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Tracey was very helpful. We would stay again. Next time we would bring our jerry cans as there is no water hookup at your site. So either fill up before you arrive and use the tap at the entrance to top-up tanks. There is power to your site 👍🏻

Lovely experience of staying at a working Apple orchard. Tracey was informative and helpful I walked up the hill with the dogs to the large water tank and the views were breath taking... 2 good showers and toilets.... Set in beautiful Nashdale.

We enjoyed our stay at the good fruit farm. Located just outside of young. The property was secluded and we felt safe and happy to leave our van to explore. We even got some lovely fruit from simon who was a great host and has big plans for his property.

The Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum boasts a Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton and the Bathurst Regional Art Gallery is home to a wonderful collection of Australian paintings and contemporary artworks. There are 8 designated camping areas to set up your camp. This is a fully fenced farm all gates that are closed must be closed after entry plenty of privacy, there are over 6 k of 4 wheel drive tracks with amazing rock formations and features all through the property .Each campsite is your own private space and no neighbours. Around 200 handraised and tame animals and 200 birds. We often have babies on bottles and goats to milk and generally, the farm is a wonderful place to be for those who love animals. The State Forest that surrounds our farm is a wonderful experience for bushwalking and the views are outstanding with spectacular sunrises and sunsets to admire. There are endless amounts of native birds, kangaroos and wallabies to view and sometimes we see a local echidna or wombat. We provide a peaceful farm with loving animals who love human attention. Hillside Harvest Orchard

Hillside is a 75 acre working orchard growing cherries, stonefruit, apples and pears. Amongst the rows of fruit trees is a small block of eucalypts and three dams, one of which is quite large and suitable for swimming, paddling and fishing in. Dawn and dusk brings a variety of birds and kangaroos and skies painted in colour. In summer and autumn you can pick your own fruit. In winter put on your coat and take a walk whilst breathing in the fresh, crisp air. In spring, buds burst open and all the trees are covered in beautiful blossoms. The orchard is in the heart of Cabonne Shire, the fruit bowl of Central West NSW. Orange is renowned for its wineries, restaurants and cafes. At our farm stall you can grab a coffee, light lunch and a great variety of local produce including fruit, vegetables, eggs, honey, olive oil and jams. Just minutes away, Mt Canobolas and Lake Canobolas offer great bushwalking and mountain biking and Borenore Caves is amazing for exploring. Or visit one of the many local wineries. Our neighbours at Orange Mountain Estate Wines are less then 100m walk from our camp sites. A visit with them is a perfect way to finish your day and then stroll back to camp. We accept caravans, camper trailers, motorhomes and tents to stay at our property.

La Paloma

'La Paloma' is a farm located 15 minutes from the township of Cowra and Wyangala Dam. La Paloma boasts spectacular views down the valley and of surrounding granite hills. We offer powered and unpowered camping. Take a walk up the hill to take in the gorgeous scenery and watch the breath-taking sunrises and sunsets! Say hi to our resident sheep! We have a flock of gorgeous sheep (and their guard alpacas!) enjoying the delicious pastures. There is lots of native bird life to see here, with Superb Parrots, Blue Wrens, Cockatoos, Rosellas, Wedge Tail Eagles and of course, Doves (hence the property name, La Paloma). Wake up to see the mob of kangaroos bounding up the hill. Make sure to pop over to Wyangala Dam (14 min) for a fish or take part in some watersports. Or even head down the road to Elliotts Lookout over the Dam for some incredible views! We can even provide under cover boat storage if you want to bring your boat with you for some fun on the lake! In spring, enjoy the beautiful blossoming fruit trees. You can even visit Sakura Matsuri, the Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival in Cowra late September! Year round, enjoy the tranquillity and landscapes of the Japanese Gardens and Cultural Centre in Cowra (14 min). The gardens act as a monument of peace and reconciliation between two countries after the largest Prisoner Of War breakout in modern military history. Cowra's rich history can be explored at the Cowra POW Campsite and various other historical sites around town. Make sure to end your night around a great campfire! We have a designated campfire area or you can have campfires in your own contained fire pits and sometimes we have complimentary firewood in a wood shed close by. Roast some marshmallows and take in the starry night sky. Property has a gorgeous stand-alone bathroom building with 2 toilets, a hot water shower and sink. Please keep this clean and tidy. There are cleaning products under the sink as we cannot always be there to keep it clean. There is also an undercover table and basic camp kitchen set up for use in the shearing shed. Please take all rubbish with you. Please make sure to follow COVID-19 guidelines by washing and sanitising hands especially when using shared areas. Pick a camp site in the middle aisle around the sheds, bathroom block and driveway OR in our top hill paddock (if gates are open) to take in the views. You are welcome to camp anywhere in the paddock - please note these sites are only accessible on foot, please do not drive into the paddock. No fires in the paddock please, there is a communal campfire spot available. We can accommodate RVs on the granite parking pads near the bathroom block. There is a power pole close by to plug in to. Note the ground off the driveway and parking pads can get very wet and boggy so to avoid getting bogged please try to stick to the driveway as much as possible.

Yarracoola Estate

Yarracoola is a working sheep farm, carrying 300 to 400 merino ewes and additional lambs, depending upon the time of year. Lambing occurs during September & October.
