Weekend Trip to Warm Corner

Wayne was very nice and personally led us into the retreat. There were not that many campers and the portaloo was very nice and clean! Happy to stay again and the area was really nice and secluded where we stayed!

Mum and 2 young kids. We had such an awesome Easter weekend camping at warm corner. We were greeted at the property by Lambert who was very accommodating. We were given the option to camp up top or down at the river and we chose the river to afford more privacy. Lambert even came down to help me in the middle of the night to turn the gas on for me which was tightened too much. There was plenty of firewood for us to make a fire. The whole booking process was very smooth, prompt replies and the reviews really do speak to their fabulous service. The amenities were new and very clean, my kids loved the rec room. The air hockey and table tennis where a big hit with the kids, as was the cows, horses and kangaroos. We definitely will be coming back!

Great camp site. Isolated, secure and private. Wayne was accommodating and friendly. Best decorated, equipped and clean portaloo ever.

The host was extra friendly and let us pick which site we wanted. River was crystal clear and so clean. We sat on our camp chairs in the river and just enjoyed the beauty of it. Spacious campsites with firepits at every site.

The space was amazing. We asked to move to a different space (as I made a mistake when booking when catering for our toddler) & Ian was more than accommodating. Beautiful space, perfect to have a private fire and enjoy the serenity of nature. The extras like an axe and generator made life so much easier. Would 10/10 recommend Ian as a host and his space.

upgraded the facilities from the last time i went, even though i loved it before now its even better. The road down has been smoothed down and my Audi A5 survived the decent. They now have toilets not the porterloo ones. It was beautiful and peaceful, the river and abundance of wood for making a nice fire was delightful. I look forward to coming back a lot sooner now.

A fabulous stay on the farm. Easy to find, secure, with very good access for all types of vehicles to the well fenced off 30 acres (campers limited to 30 acre camp area). Flat areas suitable for vans, caravans, car camping, tenting with the best smelling cleanest portaloos I have seen. Wayne's hospitality goes above and beyond making all campers feel welcome and settled - he's quite the character. Self sufficiency is needed to truly enjoy the space as described, camp fires allowed. All amenities, activities, walks are close by in Moss Vale and Almeryston area. Farm noise and life evident all around with an array of animals from camels to donkeys, sheep, cows, birdlife. Come prepared for all weather conditions as no cover at site, no water access or showers. A perfect taste of at one with nature and star gazing at a safe camp in the beautiful surrounds of the southern highlands. Mittagong about 20+ km away and great access to the hume highway nearby. Highly recommended even though a little pricey. 🚜👍😊👌🚜

We loved staying at Upper Terrace at Mellows Ridge. Ian has been really nice and helpful sharing recommendations to do in the area. We definitely recommend doing the 40 min hike to the top of the rocky ridge. We had no rain to driving uphill was easy but it can be challenging if visiting with rainy weather.

This campsite is close to Sydney and just on the edge of city life. Set on 5 acres nestled in amongst 25 acres of bush land with creek frontage, just beyond the hustle and bustle of suburbia. 4WD access only must be fully self contained. This camp spot is down a steep driveway. This is only accessible during dry weather as the creek may rise quickly. But we do have 2 sites that are all weather accessible. We regularly get visits from wallabies, deer, bush turkeys, the odd possum and all types of native birds (especially bell birds). Try your hand at a bit of fresh water fishing. There are Nepean Herring, Freshwater Perch, European Carp and Eels to catch. Fish from this creek is not recommended to be eaten. We are located on a cattle property less that two hours out of the rush and business of cities. Our camping site is suitable for groups up to 20 people. The camp site is close to two creeks, Blackheath Creek and Little Stoney Creek where the protected Platypus are frequently seen, along with our wombats and kangaroos. Cox’s River is a ten minute drive suitable for swimming and fishing. 'Elouera Vale' Farm

Elouera Vale is a working farm located just outside Mittagong NSW. We breed and train camels for sale, especially into the Southern Highlands. Camels are excellent for weed control and co-grazing with cattle. 'Elouera Vale' also breeds Belted Galloway cattle, Dorper and Wiltipol sheep and donkeys. Our property covers over 140 acres, 80 acres cleared and pasture improved and the rest consisting of forest. The Chain O Ponds creek runs through the property and makes for a lovely walk. You will probably get to see kangaroo, wallaby, wombats, echidnas, koalas and lots of bird life. The lush green hills abound with walking and cycling trails. You can head to the spectacular Nattai Gorge via the Box Vale Mine walking track, an easy 4.4km circular walk that follows an old railway line through a tunnel to breath-taking views. Mellows Ridge

Nestled right up against the escarpment at an elevation of 450m, this high-end, off-grid 40 acre property effectively offers your own private slice of Macquarie Pass National Park - amazing views, giant cedar trees, fern forests, cascading waterfalls and palms surround. It feels remote but it's only 90 min from Sydney, 30 min to Kiama and just 15 min to the shops. The property also offers the only hiking path up to the top of the escarpment for some truly amazing views. As of September 2024, all the trails on the property have been massively upgraded and are passable with a 2WD car. If you're towing or it's wet we still recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles. We've just (mid December) added a spa half way up the driveway. It can be booked through the extras. We're not particularly price sensitive - until all those rate rises - but we are extremely value sensitive so we set out to make your stay extremely good value for your hard earned money. The land itself does most of the heavy lifting but also personal service and of course there's Lana to fall in love with. Note, Mellows Rd is 2.6km long and rises 400m - in parts the road is a 15 degree grade. It's all paved but narrow so if you are towing a large heavy load, it's going to strain your car.

Otford Park nr Royal National Park

Otford is a historic village in a valley between Sydney and Wollongong, and bounded by the Pacific ocean. Our private acreage backs onto the southern tip of the Royal National Park, so the outlook from the campsite is all leafy trees. Walk to lookouts over the ocean, hike down to the beach or a few minutes drive to dog friendly beaches. Our bathroom and kitchen facilities make it an easy experience for first time campers. We are well-behaved-dog-friendly BUT you must let us know in advance. Our access track to the camping sites has been repaired with a deep layer of asphalt but still best suited to 4WD. The majority of standard 2WD cars manage the track fine There is also the option of parking roadside, and walking in approx 300m to the sites. Please message us if unsure about your vehicle. IMPORTANT PLEASE READ 1. Please let us know if you are bringing a dog/dogs - we have horses, house dogs, chickens and; wildlife plus likely other campers close by, so need to be forewarned. Dogs must be on lead or contained at all times. 2. If you need to camp out of your 4WD RV (such as a roof top tent), please contact me before booking to ensure those two particular vehicle sites are still available :) and that your vehicle is suitable for our track. C Colo - just beautiful

Our property contains the first road in and out of Colo - the original road is supported by hand built dry rock walls some of which are over 3 m high. Often referred to as convict built, but more likely built by freemen who were former convicts. The property housed the load master's residence who controlled the cargo boats that docked to collect the valley’s produce. This was then transported back down the Colo River which flows into the Hawkesbury river and leads to Broken Bay following the coastline down to Old Sydney Town. The beach diagonally across the river was landed upon by members of the First Fleet’s exploratory scouting party on the lookout for quality farm land - some of which is still in production today. Our property is on the uppermost reach of freshwater but with tidal influence. This deep water allows swimming and canoeing all year round. Our property is adjacent to the only council built canoe launching facilities on the Colo River.

Situated just off Jamberoo Mountain Road, we are ideally located between Bowral and Kiama. This campsite is a flat grassy area with rural views to the west and north west. Down by the Hawkesbury

Originally settled in 1889 "Bobs Grant" this lovely property and the surrounding land was originally used for farming but is now mostly turf farms. Enjoy our little getaway down by the Hawkesbury River only 10 minutes from historic Windsor. A beautiful river shack for your use exclusively, including fire pit with direct access to the Hawkesbury river. Destroyed in the March and July 2022 floods, we have now re-built and are looking forward to welcoming back our guests. Bring your caravans, tent or swag - all are welcome! Unfortunately, boats are not. Relax and enjoy the serenity whilst being only 1 hour from Sydney. We offer the site to one group only, a maximum of 20 guests. However note, we are not a place for rowdy groups and parties. Groups are welcome here to enjoy the time with their family and friends, play a little music and relax by the river. The river can get busy (which is great after the floods as it has been dead for so long) and so can the road across the river but if you are enjoying your family and friends you won't even notice! We have one basic toilet, and one river water shower available too! Please bring your own drinking water. Fires are only permitted when allowed, in the designated areas only.

Calabash Haven

Welcome! Lovely to see you here. Our property is located in Arcadia, just 45 minutes from Sydney CBD. The campsite is located on the high side of the property that looks over into the valley & has stunning views of the Berowra National Park. There is a multitude of walking, hiking and mountain bike trails. There are also many nearby horse riding trails. The property backs on to Calabash Creek which is like a rain Forrest once you get down to the valley floor. Berowra waters is near by, whereby many fishing, canoeing, boating activities are available, coupled with some great cafes/restaurants. Campfires are allowed as long as there are no restrictions in place and they are supervised. Pets are welcome and can be off leash, however are the responsibility of their human parents. The property has ample room to accommodate larger groups that might want to hold milestone celebrations such as Birthday parties, whereby all sites will be closed to accommodate such events. Recently Calabash Haven hosted a party of 50 people for 50th Bday celebration. Feel free to inquire to see if we can accommodate your needs. Campers must be self contained with their own camping toilet and take all waste with them on departure.
