Come and set up camp in an open paddock (14 acres) with 3 dams up on Mangrove Mountain of the hinterland of Gosford, a stones throw from all the Central Coast has to offer. SADDLES restaurant, Calga. Mooney Mooney Club has great food dine on the verandah at sunset. Walkabout Wildlife Park is almost diagonally opposite the Jones Road entrance. Sommersby Waterfalls. Avoca and Terrigal beaches 1/2 hour away.
The block is 14 acres adjoining Brisbane Water National Park there are bush trails to Weeney Creek out the back gate.
Situated a few minutes off the expressway close to East Gosford shopping, (12 minutes drive) Kariong Shops and service station 9 minutes away Somersby Falls, Woy Woy Falls and Glenworth Valley. Sydney CBD is 67kms south with Newcastle an hour to the North. Just 30 minutes from Hornsby,

Nestled right up against the escarpment at an elevation of 450m, this high-end, off-grid 40 acre property effectively offers your own private slice of Macquarie Pass National Park - amazing views, giant cedar trees, fern forests, cascading waterfalls and palms surround.
It feels remote but it's only 90 min from Sydney, 30 min to Kiama and just 15 min to the shops. The property also offers the only hiking path up to the top of the escarpment for some truly amazing views.
As of September 2025, many of the trails on the property have been degraded by the rains and are now challenging for 2WD cars. If you're towing or it's wet we recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles.
Since this is coastal rainforest and it has been very wet, expect leeches anywhere it is damp. These are easily kept at bay with deet and or trousers tucked into socks.
We're not particularly price sensitive - until all those rate rises - but we are extremely value sensitive so we set out to make your stay extremely good value for your hard earned money. The land itself does most of the heavy lifting but also personal service and of course there's Lana to fall in love with.
Note, Mellows Rd is 2.6km long and rises 400m - in parts the road is a 15 degree grade. It's all paved but narrow so if you are towing a large heavy load, it's going to strain your car.

Situated just off Jamberoo Mountain Road, we are ideally located between Bowral and Kiama.
This campsite is a flat grassy area with rural views to the west and north west. Enjoy the lush green grass under the shade of old gnarly trees. Dogs on leashes are very welcome.
Campers will have access to toilet during their stay, just a short walk from the camping area.
Various birds, wombats and wallabies are common around our farm and we're located very close to Carrington Falls (Budderoo National Park), the Illawarra Fly Tree Top Walk
and Barren Grounds Nature Reserve where you can go for a lovely bushwalk or have a swim.
This campsite is best suited to caravans or RVs as we are situated near a
semi-busy tourist road between Robertson and Jamberoo (perfect if you need a safe place to stay on your adventure). Our front paddock has easy access off Gordon’s track.

Our property is located in the Blue Mountains, nestled right in the middle of the national park and all that the Blue Mountains bush has to offer. Gums, ferns, fresh air and swimming holes.
I only allow one group to camp at any one time per site. Other groups will be well away from you. However the dam is available for everyone to use. I adjust each booking with each group depending on size of the group and time of year. I also hold large events so will book out the entire site for large groups.
Just a short drive from Sydney but a world away with its ancient forests and meandering pathways. All photos are from the site or within a 2km walk of the camping site in National Park or reserve. Please note that the canyon photos are from a spot that is very difficult to get to.
I welcome self-contained campers with your own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. However there are facilities on site for smaller groups at an extra cost.
The property offers a number of sites that can accommodate various group numbers. Please message me if you're interested in booking one or more listings for your special get together.
Dogs are welcome as long as they are friendly, but no cats please. Also please be aware that we are surrounded by nature and part of nature are snakes and ticks.

Great stay at Wywurri2 property. Must be self contained. As others have said Site 1 is seperate to all other sites so very private. But the sites are huge so good distance between campers. We had site 8 which was in the middle, but noone close to us. A bit slopey & grass overgrown so an outdoor matt would be good. Quiet & peaceful. Can have camp fires. Will definitely return.

My second visit here and it was lovely as always.
Site 1 is my favourite, as it’s set away from the other campsites and totally private. It also has a table and chair set up, so it saves having to set up my own furniture. There’s also plenty of shade on site 1 and is a nice spot to watch the horses running about.

Lovely campsite where you feel isolated from other campers. The second sign to find the entry is a bit hard to see, so look out carefully after turning.
Would stay here again. Went for a great walk with the dog in Strickland state forest not far away.

The property is a few kms from the highway and we didn’t hear any traffic at all!
We stayed at site 1 next to one of the dams. Would recommend bringing a camp mat to place down on the sand.
We had plenty of shade under the trees and enjoyed watching the horses in neighbouring properties and the ducks on our private dam.
Theres some fallen trees around to collect some wood too.
Theres owner came around and introduced herself and let us pat the horses which was a highlight for us. Will be back again!

Amazing views from the secluded camping spots in the hills. The first couple of spots accessible by my little 2WD city car, but would need a 4WD or be willing to walk for others. Ian was very helpful and his dog Lana is very friendly. Fire pit and chemical toilet at each spot. Optional extras such as a beautiful open shower (or hot spa) with a view or a coffee or gourmet chicken sandwich brought to you in the morning. Quite pricey but very special - I’d stay again!

Lovely place. Very scenic and peaceful. Would benefit from toilet upgrade. We almost cooked inside the tin shed with the warm weather. No escape from warm weather with not being allowed in the water and not much shade. Caretaker was lovely. Kids loved the animals being around to say hello to. Would go back but maybe not in summer.

Had an awesome time camping in a large group at Bonnie Doon. The dam was great for non stop entertainment for young and old. Matthew was a very flexible and approachable host. Was a great base camp for climbing and canyoning over the weekend. Would highly recommend.
