Watton Airstrip

29 sites · RVs, Tents265 acres · Watton, NSW
Watton Airstrip is a stunning property, nestled on the banks of the Macquarie River. Featuring nine riverside campsites, along with paddock and bush sites, all 4WD accessible and two equally stunning 2WD accessible sites. You’ll share our spaces with kangaroos, wallabies, emus, echidnas, deer, platypus and more. Enjoy some optional extras, including Tammie's home made bread, farm fresh, free range eggs, or one of our range of grazing platters, home made jams or hot chocolate kits. Or pamper yourself with a Crystal reiki session, or tarot reading. The 2WD accessible sites feature spectacular views to the right, towards Mt Panorama and Mt Horrible and towards Mt Canobolas to the left. Lie back in your swag at night and let the star struck, velvety sky envelope you, or make a booking at the nearby Bathurst Observatory to see the stars up close. Each campsite offers its own unique features for you to enjoy and a hand crafted pit toilet is accessible to those camped along the river bank. Fish or swim in the river, ride your bikes, or set up camp and then head off on an adventure to the Goldfields at Ophir, or History Hill at Hill End via the Bridle Track. Better still, book into a pub crawl with Damo so you can lie back and enjoy the ride. There are plenty of opportunities for 4WDing and bushwalking in the local area. Fires are allowed (fire restrictions permitting). Wood can be collected from fallen wood around the property, or bring your own if you prefer. Pets are welcome for a one off fee per animal. We do ask that pets are supervised at all times and that they do not interfere with farm animals or local wildlife.

Rosnay

2 sites · Lodging35 acres · Canowindra, NSW
Rosnay is across the road from the original Bangaroo Station homestead, and was once part of the 36,000 acre station that was subdivided in 1905. The Statham family moved to Rosnay in 1996 and began renovating the run down farm using organic and biodynamic methods. They planted the first vines in 1997, and olives in 1999, as well as thousands of native trees, all planted and grown without any chemicals. The new glamping area is on the banks of a old farm dam in the middle of the olive grove. There are sheep and alpacas, and plenty of birds and kangaroos living there too. For those who prefer not to sleep out in the elements, we offer a lovely farmstay guest house. Rosnay is proud to be part of Rivers Road Organic Farms, an organic farming community title project.

In spring, enjoy the beautiful blossoming fruit trees. You can even visit Sakura Matsuri, the Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival in Cowra late September! Cowra's rich history can be explored at the Cowra POW Campsite and various other historical sites around town. Make sure to end your night around a great campfire! We have a designated campfire area and complimentary firewood in a wood shed close by. Roast some marshmallows and take in the starry night sky. No fires in the paddock please, there is a communal campfire spot available. We can accommodate RVs on the granite parking pads near the bathroom block. There is a power pole close by to plug in to. We are located in the cool climate area of Central West NSW not far from Orange on a 97 acre property at Cargo. Our property is majestic with its views and surreal with the isolation and peacefulness of the land. Not to mention the night skies and closeness to the wildlife that visits. Tours can be organised. The farm is set in a valley with rolling hillsides and a forest at the top of our land. It's nothing to stand onsite and hear the many noises of animals both calling out and scurrying across the terrain. There are plenty of places to visit both onsite and in surrounding areas.
