T.J Wilson We have 3 remote sites and 3 dispersed sites and the property is six kilometers from Dalgety township which is situated on the “Snowy River” NSW. We are located 30 minutes drive south east of Jindabyne and 40 minutes drive south west of Cooma. There is a flush toilet and fresh drinking water is available at our dispersed sites. Caravans can easily be filled up via garden hose and if you are staying on one of the remote sites this can be done easily prior to settling in. We have a mowed loop track giving easy access from each site to stroll to the top of the hill, walk the dog or enjoy the 360 degree views. Take a picnic in the evening or just a glass of wine and watch the sunset from the top of the hill. After dark, relax and toast some marshmallows over the fire pit and discuss what you are going to do the next day. The land was originally once a part of "Marranumbla Homestead". I have called it home since 1995 and now share it with my partner Phillip, our son, Danish the Whippet, Murphy the Malshi, Myonie the Moodle and Finley the cat. The house yard only had 2 trees when I bought it and the house built originally in 1980 still needed completing on the inside. I have worked hard to create an extensive garden in a sometimes harsh environment. It's our peaceful part of the "Snowy Monaro", the property being 155 acres in total. A great place to wander and breath in the fresh air. In Dalgety township you can have a meal and catch up with a local at the "Buckley's Crossing Hotel" or take a walk around the show ground, town and along the river reserve where you can have a swim and relax on the riverbank and view the historic Dalgety Bridge circa 1888 across the Snowy River. Then come back in the evening to look for platypus when they come out to play. Visit the local 'Snowy Vineyard and Microbrewery' incorporating the 'Dalgety Brewing Company' situated approximately 10km north of the town on the Snowy River or have lunch at 'Tuscany in Dalgety' 2km to the west of town. Take a trip to Jindabyne which is half an hours drive to the west, walk round the lake, visit the 'Jindabyne Brewery', great food, beer, cider and wine or the many other restaurants and cafes in town. Spend some time at the 'Snowy Region Visitor Centre' and the 'Gaden Trout Hatchery' or catch your own trout in the lake or at the 'Eucumbene Trout Farm'. Travel beyond into the mountains and Kosciusko National Park to Thredbo, Perisher Valley and Charlottes Pass. Explore the many walks in the national park including the walk to the top of Mt Kosciusko. Visit the 'Wild Brumby Distillery' enjoy some European fare and locally crafted Schnapps, Gin, Vodka or Gluhwein. Take a day trip through Adaminaby to 'Yarrangobilly Caves and Thermal Pool' in the northern end of Kosciusko National Park, picnic, swim and tour the caves. Visit the "Snowy Hydro Discovery Centre and Café in Cooma and learn the history of the scheme. The Centre houses a comprehensive exhibition hall including an extensive photographic collection, models, hands-on exhibits and a one of a kind immersive theatre. You will find information about the Scheme such as engineering, the environment, the National Electricity Market, history, water management and power generation. Make it your base camp while enjoying all that the winter season has to offer and lets not forget the skiing and snow boarding of course. Well that's just a sample of some of the things you can do but if all that sounds like too much, just put your feet up and have a rest at your campsite!! P.S. The annual Dalgety Show is held on the first Sunday in March every year and did you know that Dalgety was one of the sites considered for our country's capital. A haven for many species of birds and wildlife, sea and wedge tail eagles nesting close by a bird watchers and canoeists paradise, also many species of fish so if you want to wet a line a Victorian fishing licence is needed, the river has a 5 knot speed limit from the campsite to Gypsy Point, if your more into bushwalking or sightseeing there are several national parks within a 30 minute drive or boat trip, or just have a swim, chill, relax and enjoy the peace and serenity. one site has small tinny access to the river and the other is good for a 20 ft boat, can accommodate up to 15 at one site and 12 at the other, camping and fires are only allowed in designated areas, bring your own firewood or it can be supplied for $25 per wheelbarrow when booking in, at both sites you cannot have fires or camp in fenced off river frontage, you will have to provide your own camp toilet, shower, etc and take all waste away when you leave, I can arrange if needed by prior notice, bulk firewood, launching of boat, etc. No firewood collection, motorbike riding, shooting or 4x4ing on site, some pets on leash may be allowed by prior arrangement, if having trouble booking or any other inquiries please send message cheers John.

To get to the western paddock and Sunset, Pine View and Hilltop sites, the turn off the drive to get through the fence means that small to medium setups are suitable. To get to the eastern paddock and Sunrise and Birch Grove sites, the turn off the driveway is a bit wider to allow for larger setups. Please check the details for size recommendations – the maximum sizes listed are for your total setup, including your car and anything towed. The sites at the bottom of the property closest to the road have easy access and more protection in windy weather, but if you have a 4WD and are wanting to sit and enjoy the 360 degree rural views then head up the hill to our Hilltop site. We can supply firewood, kindling and fire starters for a small fee, just message us in advance, or you can BYO. Strictly no foraging for wood from the property please. There’s also no power hookups, taps or toilets so it's fully self-sufficient camping. For the peace of other campers, we don't allow generators or pets, sorry. We have 20 acres of lush river flats adjoining the pristine Brodribb River in the Goongerah Valley. Due to the pristine, clean water straight off the surrounding mountains and the rich fertile river flats, early settlers used this place as a market garden to supply fruit and vegetables to the local townsfolk. You can explore rare, Old Growth forest, historic gold mines, climb to the peak of Mt Ellery and walk through the Errinundra Plateau. Mountain bike riding, horseriding, 4wd touring and bushwalking is awesome in this area. There is a camp kitchen with a communal fridge, microwave, stove and electricity. Clydie’s Knob is located in Wonboyn, 30 minutes south of Eden on the NSW South Coast. Situated on Wonboyn Lake, you’ll have direct access to fishing and swimming with the ability to launch a kayak or small boat. Larger boats can be launched in Wonboyn village which is a 5 minute drive from the campsite. The cleared grassy campsite is on 65 acres of bush land where you’ll find kangaroos, wallaby’s, wombats and plenty of birdsong. A fire pit is available for use when fire bans aren't in place. We camped down by the dam. The spot was absolutely stunning. We took inflatable toys, and swam in the dam all day long with the dogs. It really was a prefect stay. The toilet and shower were nearby and were in fairly good condition. We took a little longer packing up past our check out time, and Tom was extremely understanding and friendly about it. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely beautiful farm and camp site! The Camp by the Dam site was private, peaceful, scenic and sheltered from the wind, with views over the dam. We experienced a lot of wildlife (wallabies, kangaroos, lizards, frogs, horses and heaps bird life). We spotted kookaburras, nectar eaters and two different kinds of Kingfisher birds (if you enjoy birdwatching, I recommend taking binoculars!). It was the perfect spot for our dog to be primarily off lead and she absolutely loved it, with plenty of space to run and play. We had the entire farm to ourselves for our three night stay, and even if other campers had been on site, it still would have been very private. Waking up to bird song was absolutely delightful. The kitchen, toilet and shower facilities were great to have access to, within a short distance walk. The kitchen has a small fridge, microwave and washing up facilities, dining table, air conditioning and power points to recharge our power bank for our phones. There were plenty of communal areas which would be perfect for group events (large outdoor dining area/table and chairs, fire pit, beautifully landscaped spaces, events building with large kitchen, dining and lounge area). There were recycling and general rubbish bins, and toilet paper was provided. We ordered a wheelbarrow of wood for our three night stay which was more than enough for our time there and was ready on site for our arrival. We can't wait to book our next visit! Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved camping with Jenny and Arthur. Arthur met us on the highway and escorted us to our site. The site was huge and level with mown green grass. For a small additional price, you can access potable water and power, which we did not need on our weekend trip, but is great for those planning a longer stay. The river ran up to the site. Unfortunately, the weather was too cold for swimming, but the water looked inviting. The toilet was a long drop, but it was immaculate, with tap water for washing your hands. The wildlife was diverse, and spotting the different birds and animals was a fun activity. I would thoroughly recommend Kiah Wilderness Camp.

This is a fantastic camp, we would return anytime! Kangarutha is a very charming property and the bush campsites are large and set in amongst beautiful large gum trees.
