Two possible options- either camp in the small square paddock immediately next to the shearing shed yard, or keep driving across the paddock into the next paddock. You will see a large coral tree and a concrete water trough next to the gate into the second area. Both will accomodate camping. The site photo shows the shearing shed site, which you drive through, and the high gate on the far side of the yards,that you drive through, into your camping spot.

A flat area that is framed by the shearing shed and water tank with a high wire fence. Sign on the gate. Suggest you camp between the tank and the shed as occasionally a second camper will be passing through the yards to the next paddock. Power points can be found in the shearing shed - you will need a long extension cord.

As per previous review - mixed feelings. Beautiful site by the creek but the grass was unfortunately knee high - fine if your in a roof top tent and staying for a night but with kids etc not ideal.

Overall, the campsite is absolutely beautiful. Rolling green hills and we even woke to deer roaming on the other side of the creek, which was a real highlight. Unfortunately, the grass in our campsite was completely overgrown, up to knee height. This isn’t something we’ve encountered before, and combined with the morning and evening condensation, it made for a pretty unpleasant experience with everything constantly getting wet. The long grass also made it difficult to open and close the gate, and more importantly our 3-year-old son fell into a hole within the campsite that was impossible to see due to the overgrowth. With a bit of maintenance, this would be an incredible place to stay.

Waikeri Creek Camo Site - beautiful

Waikeri Creek Camp site was simply beautiful 😍. We were easily able to get our 10.5metre bus, towing a Jimny on a 5metre trailer Down to the creek and enjoyed watching the abundant wildlife stroll by. We had peace and quiet, sunshine, shade, the creek, deer, lizards, Roos, cows, ducks and multiple species of birdlife. We didn’t need to chock our wheel to even us up, as there were a couple of flat sites by the creek. Oh and the willow trees were stunning. Elsbeth was easily contactable for any queries and otherwise left us to our own devices. A beautiful spot, not far out of Eden and we would definitely stay again 👌🏻
