SELF CONTAINED CAMPERS ONLY To keep our valley pristine, all campers must be fully self-contained. This means having your own toilet, water supply, and taking all waste with you when you leave. This is non-negotiable to maintain the site's natural beauty. PETS are welcome provided they are good with other dogs and livestock. FLOOD WARNING The property is located on river frontage, it may be subject to flooding during heavy rain. Please check with us 3 days before arrival to confirm current conditions. In case of flooding, a full refund will be issued, or an alternate campsite on higher ground may be available. While the photos showcase the stunning blue waters, please note that the water’s appearance may change after heavy rain. You are welcome to enjoy campfires, provided there are no local restrictions. Firewood is available for purchase onsite. Plenty of space is available for caravans, camper trailers, and tents. The sites are 4WD only due to water crossings and challenging road conditions after heavy rain. PRIMITIVE CAMPING We do not have on-site amenities. Please bring all necessary supplies, including a camp toilet. It is essential to maintain the cleanliness of the site, NO DIGGING HOLES and all waste must be removed upon departure. We have a collection point for cans + bottles. Please note that there is no phone reception. If you require internet access, WiFi is available by the main cottage. It’s a proper back-to-nature spot, perfect for anyone needing to pull up a stump, unwind and unplug. We’re big on personal space, so we’ve placed the campsites far enough apart that you won’t have to hear your neighbour’s snoring. You’ll have your own secluded patch of paradise. This is your chance to embrace the great outdoors without someone’s caravan awning poking you in the eye. Your four-legged mate is welcome too. Just keep them on a lead while you’re exploring, but they’re free to be their goofy selves at your campsite. And of course, a campfire is practically mandatory. Each site has a fire pit, and if you burn through your wood supply faster than a pollie breaks a promise, we can sort you out with more for a small fee. Now, for a bit of housekeeping. Let's be clear, we're not the Hilton. In fact, we don't provide any amenities at all. Think of us as a safe, private space that feels like you're in the middle of nowhere, because you pretty much are. You'll need to come fully self-sufficient. That means bring everything in, and please, take all your waste back out with you. Leave only footprints and good memories. The agenda? Well, that’s up to you. Plonk yourself in a chair with a good book, go for a gentle wander around the farm, or chuck on your boots and tackle a proper bushwalk through our 70 acres of trails. At night, the sky puts on a heck of a show, and the silence is so complete you can actually hear yourself think. We’re the new kids on this gorgeous property and are still getting ourselves sorted. Big plans are afoot for a dunny and shower, picnic tables, and fresh rainwater on tap. We'll be adding more critters, growing a heap of fruit and veg, and soon you'll be able to grab farm-fresh eggs for your brekkie. We'd be chuffed to have you come along for the ride. Don't panic about dinner. The pub in Glenreagh (5 mins down the road) does a top-notch feed, and you’ll also find a bakery and takeaway there. Nana Glen (10 mins the other way) has you covered with a cafe, chemist, servo, and a general store for all your bits and bobs. There’s no phone or Wi-Fi. Consider it a feature, not a bug. It’s the perfect excuse to ignore your emails.

No Tents or sleeping in cars that do not have shower and toilet facility. We are a 4 minute drive from the historical town of Gladstone, which has a bakery, butcher, general store, retail shops, fruit and veg shop, nursery, cafes, restaurants, an op-shop, second hand wares shop, galleries, outdoor swim centre and of course the local pub. Gladstone Markets are on the 3rd Sunday of the month. It's a 20 minute drive to South West Rocks, Hat Head and Crescent Head. Just 45 minutes north of Port Macquarie and 1 hour south of Coffs Harbour. Please arrive before dark, or advise arrival time if not possible . You must be fully self contained, there are no facilities. Please no tents or swags. Enjoy a beautiful campsite near a large dam, watch the ducks, rosellas, cranes, herons and the occasional Jabiru, feed and nest in the trees. A great spot for bird watching. Pick your own spot, maybe near one of the fire braziers, but not directly under the trees if windy. No livestock on property but we have visiting kangaroos, tortoises, green frogs, and eels in the dam if you want to fish for them. Mid Coast Flying operate a private 800 metre airstrip on the property, and Trial Instructional Flights (TIFS) are available, for $150 for 45 minutes. Please speak to Ross when you arrive. You can pick your own site. Unfortunately we may have to close after torrential rain events. We are also pet friendly, however there are no bins, so please pick up after your pets in the camping area. Water is available near the hangar as you drive in.

Vallis Oakes is raw and absolutely stunning. The swimming is next level, fresh, clean, untouched water that will not dissapoint..Our host Sammy went out of his way to make sure our stay was everything we hoped for..Absolutely recommend to anybody that needs to escape the normal and reset.

Wow! We were welcomed by the super friendly doggies, which our doggies were so happy to hang out with at the house before we headed off to the campsite. It wasn’t a busy weekend, albeit being the long weekend, so we were told we had a choice of where we wanted to go. There were more options than on the website. We chose the huge flat open space nestled among the eucalypts. It was pretty magical having the space to ourselves, with shade in the morning and in the arvo. We walked up the hill each morning with the dogs and discovered an awesome State Forest walk and pools to swim with the dogs, not too far away - ‘upper Nana creek falls’. Ate too many choc bananas from the local corner store and bought some local honey just round the corner. It’s a simple setup - self sufficient camping and fend for yourself toilet.

Another fantastic stay at Vallis Oaks. We just love this place and particularly enjoyed taking advantage of the gorgeous, clear swimming hole during a very hot pack up! Immaculate site (as usual), almost completely surrounded by the crystal clear Nambucca River near its source, falling asleep to the sound of the running water, and absolute privacy. Perfect place for a peaceful, private and relaxing break. We chose the waterlily pond site which was lovely to wake up to. Ro & Dan are great hosts and provided us with firewood and fresh eggs and lots of info on the area, including future upgrade plans for the property. We would definitely stay here again.

What a fantastic place to stay, the river was beautiful, the great big flat green space was terrific for us and our dog to camp on. The hosts Sammy and Shayna were so accommodating. Sitting by the fire at night under millions of stars was so peaceful, even their dog spent a couple nights in front of the fire with us while our dog was asleep on our bed in the caravan! Would love to come back when it's a bit warmer to spend some time in the water. Highly recommend!
