Time to break in your new boots folks. Hidden away in a lakey and mountainous paradise is the Nahmakanta Public Reserved Land. The area is a mecca for all those who enjoy the rustic and the rugged. Hikers, campers, hunters, fisherman, snowmobilers, and paddlers revel in the 43,000 acres of sprawling forest, great ponds, and undeveloped shoreline. Nahmakanta lies in what is referred to by Appalachian Trail hikers as the “100 mile wilderness”.
