Black Rabbit Farm

Black Rabbit Farm is not only a beautiful oasis, but a fully operational 10 acre farm. Situated at the foot of the Berkshires, the farm is home to a small orchard, vineyard, and garden space. We take pride in creating a sustainable environment for all our production, based on what the land has to offer. Small greenhouse spaces create year-round production. Rocky hillside will develop a significant "terroir" for our grapes. Even adopted cats prowl the fields to reduce small animal populations. The views are to die for and the easy access to Rte 91 and the Mass Pike will make your trip an easy one for all involved. The best camping near Tunxis State Forest guide

Overview

About

Located in northern Connecticut, right up there by Massachusetts, Tunxis State Forest is wild and remote. The trees here are some of the oldest around, since it was already wooded when it became owned by the state in 1923. Most other forests were only just growing into what they are now from abandoned farms.

You never know what you might see in Tunxis State Forest, although we can give you some ideas. If you go for a hike through these old trees, you might spy a moose munching on foliage, or a black bear bumbling about. If that hike happens to be the Falls Brook trail, then you will certainly see a beautiful waterfall.
