San Clemente State Beach
Step into the quintessential SoCal beach experience with sun and surf at the foot of a steep bluff.
The mile-long beach stretches out before you, and you absolutely know you’re California dreamin’. Yes, San Clemente is in Orange County — technically — but it’s a serenity-inducing respite from the crowded, noisy metropolis. The golden sands are the stuff beachcombers and sunbathers live for. The blue ocean surf of the Pacific makes watersport enthusiasts swoon.
Halfway between Los Angeles and San Diego, this popular state beach with towering sandstone bluffs offers a fabulous camping experience. All 160 campsites feature a table, fire ring and grill. Two group sites can handle up to 50 people per, and 69 sites have full hookups.
Campers enjoy access to an amphitheater, hot showers, flush toilets, a dump station, and picnic area. Hiking and biking trails wind you through the cliffs and wooded hills for jaw-dropping view
