Life is all about gives and takes. For instance, at Heaton Bay Campground, there may not be much shade, but because of it, you get spectacular views of the reservoir and mountain ranges all around. With 26.8 miles of shoreline, the Dillon Reservoir boasts the most downright picturesque lake hang for fishing and boating. For the landlubbers--the Old Dillion Reservoir Trail is a favorite. Strike a pose in front of the Tenmile Range or the Continental Divide. Short and simple, this trail offers an easy way to #findyourselfoutside.

Heaton Bay made my first Colorado camping experience as good as it gets! Super simple and based on honor code. We had a very relaxing time this summer enjoying what the beautiful mountains had to offer.
