My boyfriend and I stayed at the Flying Pig B'n'B for one night and had an amazing time! Kim was a wonderful host, she showed us around the farm when we arrived and introduced us to all the animals (chickens, ducks, turtle, dog, cats, sheep, goats). All of the animals were very friendly and we even got to feed the 1 week old baby lambs! We also got to jump on the huge trampoline.
The small cabin was cute and cozy. It has a sofa and a comfortable bed with electricity to charge our devices as well as a heater which kept us warm all night. There was a real bathroom and shower in the main house (a short walk away).
In the morning, Kim made us a hot breakfast with fresh eggs from the hens which was delicious!
Overall, we had a wonderful time at the Flying Pig B'n'B and would be great for families and adults alike :)

We stayed one night on a last minute trip and it turned out to be fantastic. We had two families (4 adults and 5 kids) making the group a bit too large for just the cabin. However Kim was a super gracious host and allowed us to pull up our custom All Terrain camping trailer next to the cabin to accomodate the larger group. She went over and above to make sure we got what we needed and ensured an awesome stay. The kids got to feed the animals and run around the awesome grounds...She also made us a killer breakfast in the morning! All this while it was pouring rain. I can only imagine how it would have been on a nice day. I would recommend this as a good alternative to a full camping destination. Super fun especially for a family with small children

Kim is an AMAZING host! we arrived on easter eve and Kim organized an egg hunt for the kids, she then took them to feed the animals and the next day she organized a treasure hunt for the kids on a beautiful trail... that's what I call go above and beyond. The hut itself is charming & cozy and the breakfast was great. Perfect weekend highly recommended.

Such a lovely oasis just 1.5 hours away from SF. Kim was so friendly and accommodating and all of her animals on the farm were delightful to see, hear, and be around. The cabin is very cozy and the bed is really comfortable! Her baby lambs were the cutest. Kim made us breakfast in the morning and it was such a beautiful day to eat in the yard. Highly recommend for a quick getaway that feels far away from city life but easily accessible. Hiking Harvey Bear Park (10-15 mins away) is a plus as well!

I would say It was one of the best B-day's in my life. I stayed 1 night to celebrate my B-day with friends. we wanted to go on a short trip in Bay Area. I found Flying Pig B'n'B where is very close from San Jose. such a cute cabin! we fell in love with this place. lovely and animals, and all beautiful flowers in the farm, all of them make this spring even better in the farm! we got to feed animals and touched them. they are so friendly!! She surprised me with "happy birthday' sign in front of the cabin and a cute flower as a gift. We cooked like we do camping next to the cabin. we had a blast night looking up stars and hearing all sounds from nature. As all guest mentioned, her breakfast was so great. I have to say Kim is a great host. We all felt how much she welcomed us and tried to make us feel like home. Thank you Kim! you made my day!

Wow, this was our first Hipcamp experience and it still stands – going to be hard to beat this one! We stumbled on this gem and know that we will be back. It was just a stop on our week adventure down to Central Ca but the talk has not stopped by 2 and 4 year olds nor by us parents as well! My 4 year old said she didn’t really like camping (after this trip topped out around 105) unless it was back at the farm or in our end trip hotel with pool :D

Kim was a great communicator, easy to text and super welcoming and mellow. We were off to late start because of Bay Area Traffic but when we arrived, Kim was out front – there to guide us in and show us around. She told us to – “park anywhere, really”. And once we did, she showed us the cozy cabin fully stocked with games, puzzles, extra blankies and lovies, guest book, inspiring signs and quotes and A/C unit – covering all bases to keep you comfortable.
She took us through their property, we met the goats and lambs and some free ranging chickens/roosters. Out came a couple kitties and sweet puppy dog to see what was going on, what all the noise was/who was here..!? My kiddos jumped right in after she showed them how/what to feed the lambs and goats. They were funny and vocal and had little personalities which were so fun to watch (and feed too!)

After meeting the animals in the pens, some out of the pens, she showed us chicken coop 1, chicken coop 2, rooster door over here, little baby chickens and their mommy over here..and a fantastic play area for my kids. Again, they jumped right in climbing and sliding and swinging – and jumping (on both) trampolines – yes BOTH, there were 2 :)

I kept feeling like, wow – there’s more to this majestic place..!? Yes, another pen with ducks and a tortoise and a large sand area with toys and a couple play houses. This was all amongst the beautiful golden hills. There was a large green lawn, a rose garden, some swings under the wisteria that I am sure are amazing when in bloom. My husband and I were soaking in all the beauty as we acclimated to being out of traffic and off of work. We joked that we were going to ask what their monthly rate would be – we were SOLD :)

In the morning, Kim made a delicious breakfast and the kids followed her around as she was tending to the coops, feeding bunnies, etc. We even were invited out to pick fresh strawberries which we shared for breakfast and took some for snacking on the road. The love Kim has for her creatures shows in the variety of fruit trees and animals truly shows.

There is a full bathroom attached to their house with easy access. A firepit and hammock we didn’t get to use were near the little cabin too (since we arrived late and kids needed bedtime).

We were bummed to leave but are planning return visit where we are not so rushed – Thank you Kim and family for such positive experience and sharing their little slice of wonderful!

Since the weather forecast that it might rain, Kim contacted us days earlier and offer us to change the date or cancel so we can enjoy our stay more. We think that’s a very nice gesture. We insisted on going and it really did rain! Our path to the cabin was muddy but we brought the shoes! So it’s fine. Kim and her daughter’s hospitality were amazing. Full hot breakfast was very yummy with fresh eggs. She happily walked us through animals feeding routines in the rain and explained how things work around her farm. Duke the dog, Grey kitten and 1-month old rabbit are our favorites! all animals are friendly.

My only advice: Bring umbrella to your cabin in case it’s raining at night and you need to go to the bathroom :)

My husband and I had the most wonderful time at Kim's cozy cabin. The cabin itself was incredibly comfortable clean and smelled amazingly of wood. The highlight of the trip was definitely using the fire pit to make s'mores. We brought our own firewood and Kim was kind enough to provide the smores materials. The outlets were also an added bonus to charge our phones at night.

For us it was the perfect getaway from San Jose, it was easily accessible by car but we also felt in touch with nature with the beautiful views of the mountains and farm animals. It was perfect for our first time Glamping.

Kim should definitely be considered a "super host". She went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. She provided a tea kettle for tea and hot chocolate and chocolate covered strawberries in the afternoon. The fresh eggs and breakfast in the morning were delicious and she introduced us to all the animals. We had fun feeding the goats and holding soft bunnies.

This was a perfect one night getaway for myself and my two kids. We settled into the cute cabin, and promptly went on a tour of the farm with Kim, the host. The grounds are lovely, with views of the surrounding mountains, and beautiful rose bushes and wisteria scattered through the property. Chickens, goats, baby sheep, bunnies, and more!

Kim was extremely welcoming and accommodating, and was very kind to the kids. We got a little taste of what it takes to tend to so many animals, and enjoyed it thoroughly. There's also a trampoline and play structure onsite, for when the kids (and adults) tire of petting all the animals, and lemonade and fruit stocked in the fridge for when you need a refreshement. There is no kitchen in the cabin, but a firepit outside, which is perfect for roasting hot dogs and smores - all the more fun.

In the morning, we were gently woken by the roosters and excited to start another day! We had a lovely breakfast of pancakes and farm-fresh eggs, another round of catching chickens and petting goats, and bid our farewell to Kim, and the adorable Flying Pig B&B!

Highly recommend this place for families with young kids!! They will have a blast and you will, too!

The kids enjoyed feeding all the farm animals!Couldn't do without smores.Proud to have caught the chicken! She belongs on the farm!
