When you first hear the name Fresno Dome Campground it sound a little intimidating (think sci-fi and apocalypse), but this mellow campground provides striking views of the San Joaquin Valley and the peace and quiet of Mother Nature. What’s more is you can set out on the famous Fresno Dome Trail and ponder the grandeur of granite cliffs and the surrounding mountains. Time to pitch the tent and stay awhile.

Oh my! There are quite a few hidden gems around this campsite.

The dirt roads here have spotty signage, but with a bit of navigation skill and some luck you'll find beautiful meadows, epic vista points, and awesome trails.

Drive up 6S10 just a little while further beyond the campsite to the Fresno Dome trail head to hike to the top of the dome for a view that you will not forget.
