You can't swim a Silver Lake (it's a reservoir) But its open to boating (paddle) and fishing. Amazing swimmable lakes are just a quick hike away in the bucks lake wilderness (trail right out of campground).

You can't swim at Silver (it's a reservoir) But you can kayak/canoe and there are several lakes a close hike away that are perfect for swimming Silver lake as seen from the Gold Lake/Spanish peak trail

New bear boxes for proper food storage. Tent camping here is just awesome. No swimming, as this is a residential water supply for the mountain community below. Warning: this camp is built adjacent to a rock dam. Dirt road access to the camp, small sign at turn off; Summer weekend w/ just a few people. Best hiking trails into Bucks Lake Wilderness. Mini Gold Lake (2 mile hike) & PCT access.
