This is a cool little camp. That said, I think the walk in is the real selling point. It's a ~13 to 14 mile out-and-back along a (mostly) sleepy paved road with a gradual ~1,000 ft elevation gain. Actually, the road is closed to cars and can be pretty busy for the first ~1.5 mild (until the bridge / trail-head to Bear Valley) but then it's just you, the stream and some really beautiful scenery.
