Very cool spot! You’re tucked away from a the local Harbor Bar Marina where you can find food, beer, and live music. Definitely different from most of my camping trips. Also plenty of access to firewood, showers, and water. Only problem: you are right on the railroad, and at least 5X in the wee hours of the morning, an incoming caboose sounded his bull horn. Very little sleep.

Harbor bar was very fun! it was nice to just run in to the bar for dinner and not have to worry about cooking anything. We put our tent up underneath what is said to be the largest cottonwood tree in the state! This campground is also located right on the mighty Mississippi, it was awesome watching all of the boats go by! I highly recommend this site!

This is one of the most eclectic place I have ever been to. You get to sleep so close to the Mississippi river listening to live music and you have the option of eating delicious food. Brad, and all if his employees, were super accommodating. And there are flush toilets, showers and laundry facilities. I was happy to be a part of the harbor's vibe...bring bug spray ...the mosquitoes can be ravenous.
The Harbor Bar has a little bit of something for everyone. If you stay way off to the side it's almost like being in the woods and it's nice and quiet. Stay closer to the actual Bar and it seems to have more a festival feel to it.
Some friends and I spent a night at Brad's place. The location on the river gives a great view and there are a lot of picnic tables and space to set up tents. The area can get pretty noisy though with trains and barges running through the night along with camping right next to a local bar, especially around bar close.
The site was pretty much what we expected. Nice area with lots of space, fun bar with live music and a good vibe. Parked the boat at the marina and stayed the night. Perfect for a place to crash, not necessarily a place to feel like you're in the middle of nowhere.
Only downside, train tracks are right across the river. So bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper

Brad’s a very helpful host and the property is so unique, it’s such a fun experience staying here! I camped in my car and was able to drive in pretty close to the water for a great view all night. The restrooms are easy to access and the restaurant is a neat place. I can’t say there are many other places like this. Staying on an island in the Mississippi River right on the Minnesota/Wisconsin border! Andrew nearby town Red Wing was worth a visit. Highly recommend this site!
