If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
This beautiful cabin is off the beaten track in the best of all possible ways. The road trip getting there and back was part of the fun. Fabulous bird watching, deer and other woodland critters to keep you company. Loved paddling and floating on the lake. So many stars at night! Everything you need to connect with nature and your family. Love it!
A beautiful place to relax, unplug from the reality and be one with mother nature. Every second is full of birds chirping and nice breeze that goes in between the valleys. We brought our paddle boards and it was the best decision because the lake is so quiet and serene. We love paddling in the morning just stop in the middle of the lake to observe the birds, ducks and turtles around us. The lake water is surprisingly very warm to swim on. Matt also provides paddle boat for you to enjoy the lake. All the flowers around nirvana garden is beautiful and unique. This slice of paradise is hidden in the valley and Matt gave the most detailed and easy to follow direction. Don't be surprise if you encounter some wild turkeys, cattle, deers, rabbits and chipmunks during the drive to the house. The solar house it self is full of character, peaceful, clean and very cozy. Matt is the best host! He's very helpful and works hard to keep the cabin and its surrounding clean and beautiful. We appreciate the hard work that Matt have put into restoring the nature due to the wildfire that happened in 2015. We can't wait to come back and spend more time in the solar house!
Everything is connected...
In the world, there are few nooks where you can really enjoy the serene ambience... You can find that here, at Nirvana Garden. Being that I am involved in the frantic pace of the modern life, I dream about this peaceful perfect little nook. This place is truly enables modern humans to abandon the daily routine for some time and feel like an integral part of the wonderful world. Here, I had connected with my true inner-self. Here, it is just you, and Earth. You will find that everything is energy. Your thought begins it, your emotions amplify it and your action increases the momentum. You have awakened when you realize that you can create your reality through the energy of your consciousness. Matt is so gracious to share such an amazing, memorable place to experience that will have you leaving with a new perspective on life.
Sunny swimming & solitude
Matthew is very responsive and clearly seeking to provide guests with an excellent experience. He’s decorated with tasteful simplicity and the house was well appointed for our stay. Our 7y.o. loved paddling around in the boat and we had fun poking around on our paddle board alongside. The one lake neighbor who we saw was quite friendly. Though we made a fun day trip to Oroville and Tonasket, it’s best to pack/plan for staying home the whole time, and make sure to bring any epi-pen or other critical personal items.
A peaceful family vacation
My family and I were looking for somewhere private and secluded with access to water to spend our 10 day family vacation at this summer. We came across Nirvana Gardens and were very excited about the idea of the private cabin on a private lake far from any town or city. Our time here was so much more than we could have expected. The serenity of this place is so inviting, the lake provided the perfect place to swim, paddle board, and watch for turtles. We saw lots of wildlife including turkeys, deer, owls, and even some free ranging cows. We loved making family dinners together in the big kitchen and eating outside on the large deck overlooking the lake. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to get away for a just a few days or more than a week. This place will provide you with the time and space to disconnect from technology and reconnect with yourself and those around you!
One piece of advice, if you are bringing your food in to cook at the solar cabin like we did, be prepared to store the majority of your food in ice chests! The fridge onsite is about the size of a taller dorm mini fridge, and Matt uses the freezer for his personal food. We lost some of our food because we weren't prepared to keep it on ice for 10 days, so just plan ahead and bring plenty of cooler space and ice!
We enjoyed our stay at the Nirvana Garden. We had an amazing experience. If you want to run away from the city's noize, it is, definitely, the right place to have physical and mental rest. It is a perfect place to make contact with yourself, loved ones. It is also a perfect place to focus on nature. I highly recommend this place for chilling out, meditation.
