Past trip
in The Skoolie - Urban Glamping, WashingtonDelightful skoolie experience
Everything about the is just as described in the posting and reviews. Pleasant, charming, weâll thought out - we had everything we needed and a great overnight stay.
Past trip
The Fireman's Bunker
in Seven Acres Campground, TexasOur stay at the bunker was a delight. The accommodations are generous and well thought out. Comfortable beds, plenty of outdoor spaces to relax, and many thoughtful touches made us feel right at home. We plan to return and spend more time.
Past trip
in Green Heart Medicinal Herb Farm, Cr, North CarolinaBeautiful creek-side spot
Breathtaking creek side land and comfortable stay. We were in site 4, which features a covered platform upon which we set up our tent. The only thing to note is that the listing advertises wifi available, but I couldnât connect anywhere on site - the reach is not far. Maybe it would work if you walked up close to the main house, but donât count on it at campsites or even in the group seating area which is close to main house. Unless you need it to work remotely, though, you wonât miss it - we didnât - the sights and sounds around camp are way more entertaining than screens. Also the shower does not have hot water (maybe in summer the sun heats it some but definitely not in October).
Past trip
in Country Camping close to town, IdahoA quick overnight camping stay on our cross country journey. Very comfortable easy place to stay, and picturesque. Linda is a friendly and accommodating host.
Past trip
Lakefront Paradise Tent Site
in Lakefront Paradise on Lake Lavon, TexasBeautiful sunset, watch for wasps
The site is beautiful and it was clear that the host put a lot of effort into making guests feel welcomed. The sunset at night was magical, the privacy and silence as well. There were a couple of downsides which aren't any fault of the host - for one, the private beaches were pretty littered. It looked like some boaters maybe pulled up on the shore and threw some trash, not the host's fault but a bit of a downer. And the wasps were a big problem for us. They were "sticky" wasps, once discovered by one, it tended to follow you closely causing you to do a swat dance to get it away. And there were tons. Probably wouldn't have been tooooo big of a deal had one not slipped into my can of sparkling water and bit the inside of my lip, which kind of ruined my experience for a while. And yet still I'd recommend the site, just beware that leading up to sunset wasps will be an issue. If I could do it again I would have set up our tent as a screen room of sorts, and still enjoyed the sunset.
Past trip
in Reiki Ranch RV Camping, WashingtonUpon arrival, Taylore met us at the barn and showed us to the field where we were to set up camp. She gave us a little tour of the organic farm on the way. We were shocked at our good fortune when we got to the field - wide open space surrounded by forest with a babbling brook we could hear from our site. We were provided a small table and a fire ring. This place feels magical. Your campground is - wherever you want it to be. There were 3 other groups, which was remarkable because it was fourth of July weekend, but we were so far away from them that we felt like we had a campground to ourselves. The hiking paths adjacent to the field and along the banks of the brook were the most magical part of the experience. You could hike miles back there. If you're looking for a spot halfway between Portland and Seattle, this is for you. Note: the tables provided are very small, consider bringing an extra if you need a lot of table space. Zero cell service for a couple of miles.
We will definitely be going back to this spot regularly
Past trip
in Millersylvania State Park, WashingtonWe camped during times of COVID, so it was a little crowded for our taste due to wanting to stay safe. We accidentally booked an rv site with hookups for our little party of tent + van campers - fortunately it was one of the best with some trees and shade. It also provided us more space than the typical sites. Most of the other rv sites are in the blazing sun in the heat of summer so bring a shade structure. The non-RV sites looked really nice, but a little tight for COVID times. The lake was fun to swim and paddle in but a little small for an avid paddler. Overall, fun campground with lovely trails, but select your site carefully and be ok with a crowded camping experience.
Past trip
in Seaquest State Park, WashingtonBeautiful location with an amazing 7 miles of hiking trails surrounding the campsite. The tent sites are beautiful and nestled in woods making them feel private and remote, a truly immersive experience. The RV loops are the opposite of that, more like a glorified parking lot with no separation between neighboring vehicles, and views, well, of other RV's. My two trips (one tenting, one an RV loop stay) were very different. If you want to RV here I'd highly recommend boon docking and veering away from the RV loops.
Make sure to check out the hiking trails - we caught on to them a little late in the game so were only able to explore a couple of miles. Need to go back, tent camp, and hike more of those trails!
Past trip
in Live Deliberately, ArkansasI would stay here for the proximity to the hikes and waterways that make GNP so special, but only if no other options were available. Without any views the campground lacked the sense of place that some of the other campgrounds in the area with views offer. Our particular site felt like we were camping in an overgrown field - unkempt and not very lush which is surprising considering the other sites in the area. It also seemed crowded and did not offer much privacy.
Past trip
in Live Deliberately, ArkansasThis spot is incredibly beautiful, surrounded by picturesque mountainscapes with glaciers visible from the campsites. The campground has a spacious and friendly vibe. We enjoyed walking to Many Glacier lodge where we hopped on a boat ride to a hike through the glaciers. While all of the campgrounds we saw and stayed in while visiting the national park were beautiful, some of them did not offer the overwhelming views that this one does, giving you a true sense of place. This is not just another campground - when I go back I will definitely be staying here again, for longer.
Stephanie hasn't gone on any trips yet.
Hipcamp Hosts can leave an optional review of their Hipcampers after the trip is completed. This is where those reviews from Hipcamp Hosts will appear.

View of the Needles Campsites (RV)
in The Needles Outpost Campground, UtahStunning site with great vibes
Pictures can't do justice to the serene beauty of Needles Outpost. Uplifting views facing all directions. The hosts are great - I appreciated straightforward and detailed communication, from the posting description all the way through to check-in. Beyond its stunning natural beauty, this place has great vibes.
