The Shed at Blue Ridge
in Blue Ridge Campground, North CarolinaBeautiful location, tucked away from the hustle of city living. The campsite was perfect, only one other family was nearby so it was very quiet and private. It's the perfect getaway right off of the blue ridge parkway. Highly recommend this location, plenty of trails nearby to hike if you want, or a perfect place to sit in stillness for awhile.
Haw Ridge, Mars Hill NC

This is by far the best campsite I've ever visited. With 360 degree views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, lots of places to explore, almost complete privacy, I couldn't recommend camping here enough. This is the perfect place to unwind and disconnect for a long weekend. The drive up isn't as treacherous as some of the reviews made it seem, but I would definitely recommend having an AWD vehicle just to be safe. Also, bring bug spray as insects can be annoying, but luckily they weren't of the biting variety.
