As a first time, solo, female traveler I could not have been more pleased with this campground. I didn’t read much about the spot before booking as I intended on only staying one night before heading off to the next spot. Well, I ended up staying around 5 nights. The hosts were absolutely wonderful and very informative. Throughout my stay, any one of the four dogs on site were by my side (probably bc I gave them treats) which made me feel extremely safe. The site is pretty primitive, but had all of the essentials you’d need... running water, an outdoor shower, an outhouse, fire/gathering area, and more. I spent two whole days of my trip at the river which is about a mile walk down the property and it was stunning. The hosts’ home was close enough if I needed anything (about a 5 min walk max), but far enough away from the campsite to ensure privacy. I even stopped in for one night on my way back home even though it was slightly out of the way. I cannot recommend this place enough, seriously. It’s great as just a stopping point for one night, but even better if you have the time to actually stay a few days to explore. Best Hipcamp experience thus far.
