Site 11 Tent/Van . No Shade.
in Kolob Campground, UtahThe site is probably lovely in nicer months, but when we arrived the campsite was very muddy since the winter is setting in and snow was on the ground. While I am sure it is a great place to stay in the spring, it was completely desolate when we arrived for our October dates. I tried to contact the owner from the site to figure something out but the wifi was not working and we left to find a dry campsite. I emailed the owner once I had a connection and did not hear back.

Robert and Debbie are wonderful hosts and we had a great time at the campsite. We opted to camp there because Big Bend campsites were full, and ended up realizing that this was a great alternative to being around crowded NPS campsites, especially given all the RVs and campers at Big Bend. We stayed at a campsite close to the ranch and there is a lot of farm animal noise as explained in other reviews, so just be sure to bring earplugs or be prepared for the racket if you camp close by. Noise aside (which was not a major issue for us), we loved being at the site, enjoyed learning about what Robert and Debbie are doing, and even got to meet a couple of newborn baby goats. I recommend it as a great place for solitude and scenery!
