Intro: A city girl with a country heart, gypse spirit and a will to live outside the box. I love being off the grid, connecting with nature & a slower pace of life like our ancestors.

in Umpqua's Last Resort, OregonThis is a quaint little spot. This place is very much about the location & the hosts! There is a lot to love from the views to the landscaping with herbs & fruit trees. The staff was very friendly, they greeted us outside every time we walked up, paid us a visit to check up on us a few times & were very helpful with suggestions, info & directions because we had no cell service. There is also a store right next door which was very convient.
On the down side. This place was PACKED, they stack people on top of each other and are sure to use every place they can for a site. I was under the impression there were 4 tent camp site's given the small parking area, 4 pads, 2 picnic tables & 1 communal fire pit. However they had 8 one night. Not that they were right on top of us but I just felt like I paid $22 for a patch of grass like someone's back yard. That many people left parking tight and we were blocked in every night. They could also really use to re-level the tent pads.
If they had more parking, better tent pads, picnic tables & fire pits (with cooking grates) for all tent sights I'd be much happier with what I paid for when there are 5+ national camp grounds near by where I'd get all those amenities for less or close to.
All in all we still had a wonderdul time!!
