The Barn and Cottage at Old Morro
in Atascadero Oak Groves, CaliforniaCoastal mountain getaway
We drove in on a Monday for a relaxing little getaway. Upon driving in, I knew Iād love the place, the hills with native oaks surround the property and thereās even a small creek you can hear from the site. The host wrote a lovely note with camp instructions and ideas for dining and activities. Also notable were their own chickensā fresh eggs in a bowl for us! The site is level and very tidy, amenities were even better than described. We camped in our 24ā trailer house and there was ample room for us without being crowded. The adjacent barn, restroom building, and the guesthouse are charming, stylishly minimally decorated in a modern farmhouse vibe, letting natureās beauty show through. Relaxing while birds are singing and creek babbling is the best! We really enjoyed meeting the hosts, The Peets; genuine and warm and truly welcoming!
