Past trip
in Plenty Star Ranch Retreat, South DakotaWhat a wonderful place to pitch a tent! Isa and Jack were so incredibly hospitable and kind and have created such an inviting campground. With just a short walk to the Black Hills Nat. Forest and a quick drive to the Wind Caves, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Jewel Cave and other beautiful sites, this campground is an ideal place to stay while visiting South Dakota. Isa and Jack are such wonderful people and offer tea and coffee and good company and conversation on their porch and around the bon fire. The facilities are clean and organized and the campsites are well spaced out and the ground is soft :) Overall I had a lovely, relaxing, rejuvenating time with Isa and Jack camping in the Black Hills.

Bear Mountain Retreat - Cabin
in Bear's Backcountry Retreat, IdahoTHIS PLACE DOES NOT EXIST! DO NOT STAY HERE! I drove to the two possible locations that are given in the directions(one is the address and one is the google map link, TWO SEPARATE LOCATIONS!) and neither was the right address. The google map address brings you to a random sketchy housing development in the middle of the woods where no one actually lives, I ended up just pulling over and sleeping in my car in the woods. This was a bunch of crazy BS. I tried calling the host who never answered and let his phone go to voicemail 5 times. OVERALL DO NOT BOOK THIS SITE IT IS FAKE!!!!!!

What a lovely place to camp! Lindy was so kind and hospitable and the campsites are well set up and spaced out. It was such a peaceful place to pitch a tent and the common areas were very inviting. Lindy has created a wonderful sanctuary that embodies what you look for in a Montana campground. Also it is located just a short drive from Glacier National Park which was such a plus! Overall a great and relaxing time at Spirit Works.
