in Hidden Ridge Camping, KentuckyLoved our two day stay at Hidden Ridge - it's a beautiful property. We had neighbors one night, but it still felt secluded and once the evening forest noises started we couldn't tell anyone else was around. There was a shared porta potty for the two campsites which was clean and appreciated. Also appreciated was the firewood pile (available for purchase on the honor system) by the campsite. Went up to the community shelter once to get tap water and was impressed to see signs up telling guests to clean whatever they touch with a bleach solution - seemed to be taking the pandemic seriously.
We initially tried to get to the lake via the hiking trails that led away from the campsite, but the trail down to the lake from there that we found - marked as difficult on the map - did indeed look very steep and difficult. The walk to the lake from the path by the community shelter was much more doable. Loved swimming in the lake - but next time will bring water shoes as there are lots rocks getting into the water. The other hiking trails on the property were a fun scramble.
Overall we loved it and hope to get back there soon!

in The LAAAAND (just you & 50 acres), KentuckyWe had a really great time staying at Carli's spot over the Fourth of July weekend! It's very secluded with a great view - exactly what we were looking for.
Did a couple of the short hikes to the overlook and the waterfall that were very nice.
Hope to get back there soon!
