This is our second time staying here and we really love the low key atmosphere that this place provides for our family. It is only a very short drive to Rialto and there is plenty of space for other campers to enjoy their own privacy. We will be back again! Thank you!
Past trip
in The Garden at Marblemount, WashingtonMy family and I very much enjoyed our stay at Don's property. Don greeted us the minute we arrived and showed us our camping site for the night. The sites are spacious and have their own portable marine toilet per site. There was plenty of firewood and a the site was cleaned and groomed for tent camping. Will absolutely stay here again!

What a wonderful place to stay and camp with my family. Even though the campground was sold out, there was plenty of space between camp sites that we never felt cramped. Having other people in the campground made it kinda of fun actually as we could people watch. No one was overly loud and were mindful of keeping noise down at night. We will be back again soon! Thank you!
Past trip
in Hood Canal Groovy Yurt, WashingtonRelaxed, spacious and clean
Curt's yurt was not only groovy, it was spacious and super clean too! The Yurt is nestled in the back corner of a shared? property with other tiny houses and a trailer. There is plenty of space between each unit and it does not feel at all like a cramped environment. There is a shared bathroom that is heated and has electricity and running water and a shared outdoor kitchen with all the amenities you need to cook and wash your dishes. There is even a microwave and a small fridge. Again, both the bathroom and kitchen are very well taken care of and super clean.
There was plenty of firewood for us to use and a propane heater inside the yurt should you need to have heat during the night. I highly recommend this yurt to anyone wanting a nice quite and clean place to stay while visiting the Olympic Peninsula. We will definitely return again!
Past trip
Historic Bluff Sunset Retreat
in Sunset Retreat Port Townsend, WashingtonCozy, peaceful retreat with a view!
My family and I had a fantastic time at this quite and very private bunker. Upon our arrival, Christian and his lovely daughter Matilda greeted us and showed us the layout of the bunker and property. Christian chopped up some fresh firewood for us for the 2 nights we were staying for. I am glad we had the firewood as it can get pretty cold at night and windy too! You are on a bluff after all. The views are some of the best for an overnight stay. Views of Strait of Juan De Fuca, Protection Island and in the far distance, you can see Victoria night lights. We even spotted a Bald Eagle nest on the property! Plenty of wildlife flying back and forth to keep any bird enthusiast busy with their camera.
If you are looking for a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city and want to just get away without worrying about other people near by, this is the spot! You will have absolute privacy with your own private views of some pretty awesome scenery. You are not far from Port Townsend should you need to replenish your food items or last minute needs. I highly recommend this peaceful retreat! We will definitely return soon.

Nicholas was prompt to answer my texts and answer my questions. Thank you! If you are looking for a nice quite place to camp and be away from the city, this is the place! There is a access to a clean restroom with electricity during your stay and ample space to setup camp without feeling like you are invading someone's property. Nichola's and family checked in to make sure we were all setup but then gave us our privacy. The kiddos had a blast throwing the football till late at night while my wife and I and my daughter all enjoyed a few shooting stars that night.
Thank you Nicholas for the stay. We will be back!
