Epic spot, well worth the money. Me and my friends who are all yoga instructors had our own little private retreat here. We did yoga on the deck, made breakfast in the kitchen, grilled outside, played the bongo drums, and enjoyed the hikes and expansive views nearby.
The road to get there is long, so I recommend going grocery shopping in advance so you never have to leave this incredible property! I loved all of the yoga gear and spiritual vibes. 10/10 would recommend!
I arrived at this Hipcamp and was sad when the host wasn't expecting me :(
Thankfully there was a really nice guy working there that helped me!! He cleaned up one of the other camping platforms, which was really lovely and peaceful. It wasn't the one I had originally booked, but it was nice. I walked to the tidepools and borrowed some of the snorkeling gear.
Kapoho is a pretty remote area. I enjoyed my time in Hilo and Captain Cook a bit more. Also, the property itself is a little bit dirty. The camping cabins are all nice and clean though!!
Eagle's Nest was one of the most incredible, magical experiences I've ever had in my life. The property is located on a working cattle & duck farm, and there are over 400 acres of hiking trails. My boyfriend and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary here. We spent all day geeking out about how amazing and perfect the woodwork and craftsmanship of the treehouse was (it was on a TV show!), and spent all night laying in bed in the middle of the trees looking up at the stars, drinking wine under the dreamcatcher, and talking about our life plans together. So special! Highlights included:
-Taking a hot shower with a massive window that looks over the forrest
-Warm, cozy, comfy bed
-Looking up at the stars from bed
-The mercantile that offers fresh duck eggs and beef
-Hiking trails & exploring
-Making hot coffee in the treehouse
-Stopping at bodega bay oyster company for oysters! Very closeby
-Going to the beach in Bodega Bay
-The suspension bridge, just running back and forth on it :)
-Goats, dogs, & geese
-Firepit and grill
-The heater which provided warmth for us on a cold morning
-The sunshine gleaming through the trees in the morning
Thank you Lesley & John for creating a magical space for people to make lasting memories!
