Welcome to Sarabah Stud: A Serene Creek-Side Escape Nestled within a stunning cattle and farming property, Sarabah Stud offers a quintessential Australian bush camping experience. Located just 40 minutes from the Gold Coast and an hour from Brisbane CBD, our property is the perfect retreat for families, couples and friends seeking a quiet, nature-focused getaway. The Natural Experience Immerse yourself in our thriving local ecosystem. The property is a haven for native wildlife; keep a quiet eye out for our resident platypus in the creek, or spot kangaroos, wallabies, turtles, and native birdlife throughout the day. As the sun sets, the bush comes alive with the sounds of owls, possums, bandicoots and the crackle of a campfire (permitted in designated firepits, subject to local restrictions). Creek-Side Relaxation Cool off in our dedicated swimming hole—a beautiful, natural spot perfect for a refreshing dip. To protect our delicate aquatic environment and our resident platypus, please note that fishing is not permitted on the property. Facilities & Access We aim to provide a secluded and comfortable yet authentic "off-grid" feel: Amenities: Every campsite is equipped with its own dedicated toilet for your convenience. Please remember to bring your own toilet paper. Navigation: We are well-signed and easily found on Google Maps. We recommend loading your maps while you still have mobile service to ensure a smooth arrival. Vehicle Access: The property is 2WD accessible in dry weather; however, we recommend 4WD during wet conditions - mainly for Stony Camp access. While its open layout provides a sense of connection to the surrounding landscape, its position at the very end of the track ensures you have the most space and the least through-traffic of any site. Site Highlights: Private Creek Access: Features its own dedicated steps leading directly down to the water’s edge—a private spot for your group to enjoy the creek. Platypus are frequently spotted here and the swimming hole is only a short walk away. Maximum Space: Our premier choice for large groups, multiple caravans, or those needing a vast, open area to spread out. Solar and Stargazing: The open-air setting offers excellent solar exposure for your setup and the perfect space for views of the night sky for stargazing. Platypus hole camp site, was a nice quite retreat for a couple of days. Unfortunately didn't see any platypus, but there was plenty of birds and other wildlife to spot and identify, to keep the kids entertained. The swimming hole was refreshing for a dip in flowing water. The toilets were in close proximity to the site, and were clean, ready to use. Highly recommend, will definitely be planning another trip out there again very soon.

Great spot! Low platypus is a fantastic spot, grassy, flat and awesome views. Only downside is that it’s right near the platypus viewing area so if you want privacy this might not be the spot for you.

Beautiful, peaceful camping spot! We stayed at Stoney Creek Spot and absolutely loved it. The campsite was right beside a lovely trickling creek, surrounded by nature and beautifully secluded. There was plenty of wildlife around, including lots of birds, kangaroos and even a cheeky bandicoot that got into our bread overnight! There was also a lovely area to swim in the creek. The toilets were clean, and the host was incredibly kind and welcoming. Overall, a wonderful stay and we’d happily come back again!

Sarabah Stud Farm gifts us the opportunity to reset, recalibrate, refocus, regenerate and renew your nervous system. Top spot there at stony Creek. Site has two fire pits and so many options to locate the van. Close to deep swimming hole. Clean flushing toilet about 30 meter walk. Most sites were vacant because of during the week. Rob and his staff were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.

OMG!!! What a great spot, I really don’t want to tell you how good it is as we want to go back again and again, and if it gets too popular it’ll be hard to book! We cannot say enough how good it is, I’d recommend getting plenty of firewood before you get there, you’ll spend all day around the fire as we did, on the flip side the 10-15 minute trip to Canungra was well worth the drive, that town was pumping, schooners at the pub and a great weekend had by all. Can’t wait to go back.

We had fantastic weekend here and can't recommend it highly enough. The property is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and feels like a little slice of paradise. We spent our days listening to the creek flowing by, birds in the trees, and our evenings around the campfire with good food, a glass of wine (or three!), great music and even better company. It's the perfect place to switch off, relax and enjoy nature. If you're looking for a quiet, private campsite close to Canungra, this is hard to beat. We'll definitely be back. Thanks again for sharing your beautiful property!

Such a beautiful site! We made friends with the eels and turtles at lower Platypus. Sites are separated enough that it feels like no one else is around besides the wallabies and kookaburras. LOOOVED the laughing donkey in the distance, made us all laugh. Can’t wait to come back in summer to try out the swimming hole
