Please note, we utilize porta-johns throughout the grounds. However, some sites may be further to the closest toilet based on seclusion level. We do not provide drinkable water or showers but we allow responsible use of our beautiful stream for cleaning. We do not provide electricity or WIFI, and do not provide any tents, tarps or anything else that may be needed to experience the beautiful Appalachian Mountains. We also sell firewood on the premises as we do not allow outside wood to be brought in as we try to protect our forest from outside disease. Lastly, being in the Appalachian Mountains we do have loads of wildlife including black bears that have a tendency to visit. Please follow 'Leave No Trace' protocols and be mindful of trash and food throughout your stay.
In efforts for you to enjoy nature at it's finest, we strive for seclusion and privacy of our campers. While we feel each site is private you will notice others enjoying our grounds, and do note that noise does travel differently in the mountains. There are some groups of two, families and larger groups enjoying themselves. Each site offers a different experience, which is why we feel it is important to speak with us prior to booking so we can get you in the best spot for your experience.
The day you are due to come to our grounds, please message us. At that time, we will send you directions to your site. We do not have a check in desk. You just go directly to your spot, so messaging prior is VERY important!

Peaceful weekend on the water
RoundStone offers a truly one-of-a-kind camping experience. The property itself is beautiful and well-maintained; my husband, dog and I enjoyed exploring the land and checking out the other sites - all of which are very spacious and secluded. We stayed at site 13, which is right on the water - waking to the sound of the stream was such a treat! Our site (as well as most of the other sites) offers a ton of tree cover, which is ideal for hot, muggy summer days.
I cannot recommend RoundStone enough! We will definitely be back!!
The camp sites are incredible and very clean. "Staff" we beyond friendly and helpful! Definately plan on camping there again!! The scenery and sounds were relaxing and exactly what you would want to get away from the hustle and bustle of work life.
The tent spots were large and very spread out. I originally booked tent spot #1 which upon arrival I realized was pretty close to a couple of cabins. Since I was looking to escape other humans, I asked if they had any other available spots and they did, so I was able to move to a more secluded spot further down which was absolutely perfect. I suspect there won't always be other availability like that so I appreciate their flexibility.
The tent sites were great with picnic tables and firepits and multiple spots per site for tents. They seem to be really spread apart so you don't have to interact with other people really at all. You might be aware of them coming and going, but that's about as good as you're gonna get when you're at a campground.
I had to bring my own water for drinking and cooking but I washed up in the stream, which maybe isn't ideal for everyone but works for me. I recommend bringing sandals or water shoes of some sort if that's what you're planning to do.
The porta potty was close to my site and seemed maintained, but like almost all porta-potties, it was not super fun to be in. But, having never had a great time in a porta potty in the past, I didn't expect there to be a party in this one either.
The trash and firewood situations weren't entirely obvious to me upon arrival and during departure, but I suspect I might not have read the instructions closely enough.
All in all, I highly recommend RoundStone Campground and I'll likely be back. Hopefully, it won't rain so much next time!
Beautiful unique camping experience
Roundstone is a one of a kind getaway, tucked away on acres of beautiful land with cabins, creekside campsites and trails to explore. Our hosts were so welcoming and helpful, and our Tent Site #3 provided complete privacy right along the creek with our very own swimming hole. We had two tables, a fire pit and plenty of space for multiple tents, as well as toilets just a few feet away. All of us commented several times on how perfect everything was. And it was easy to get to local sites like Lehigh Gorge and Jim Thorpe. We would recommend this to anyone and can't wait to visit again!
Idyllic camping in the woods
Idyllic camping in the woods! All campsites are very private and well maintained. The hosts are friendly and helpful too. Had a little troubling finding my assigned campsite because it was well hidden and newer so the signage wasn’t as clear (fine by me though!), and I’m already planning our next visit 😁
