We live on the plains, so don't expect too much shade, but we do have some cottonwoods next to the campsites! You'll watch the sunset over the Winds, and have unparalleled views across Ray Lake over to the foothills of Lander. This is on the Reservation, so you'll need a permit to recreate right out our back door, but if you drive ten minutes south to Lander, tons of fun can be had climbing, hiking, biking, running, kayaking, etc... Or drive up to the Bears Ears trail head and get some of the finest access to the Wind River Range around! Or, don't worry about hanging here long, just stop and get a good night's sleep before heading up and over Togwotee Pass to Yellowstone or the Tetons!

We've got dogs, chickens, and dairy goats - so there's a chance you'll hear any or all of those three types of creatures, but the further you camp away from the buildings, the less background noise you'll get! No guarantees on the coyotes, though :) farm fresh chicken, duck and goose eggs and goat milk products are often available, but please let us know in advance if you're interested.

Also, please keep us posted on an arrival eta! We both work early in the morning and are often in bed early. Ideally, you would be able to stop by at or before 8:30 pm, but we can certainly provide great instructions over the phone if you plan on stopping by later. We also have two families living on the property that appreciate earlier arrivals!

This is a pretty magical spot with views of the Wind Rivers. A little road noise, but mostly not noticeable, and is quiet at night. My dogs voted it best spot so far on our trip. The entrance between the barn and house is a little tight, so if you have a bigger rig, be forewarned. We have a 17' rPod, and it was tight but doable. Overall just loved this spot and would go back in a heartbeat....

This was a decent campsite with only a few issues that if corrected would make it wonderful. We did enjoy our stay there. It’s remote. Beautiful sunsets. We never saw our hosts but on the phone they were delightful and very helpful. Suggestions: 1. There’s not enough room for three campsites. Cut it down to two and spread them out more. 2. Move the portable toilet somewhere farther away from the campsite and add some more privacy. It’s literally in the middle of campsite 2 three feet from tent area. 3. Add the address to listing. There are a lot of “tree lined roads with gravel driveways” on that road. 4. A table or something to use at the campsite to cook food on would be great. Like I said we loved the spot though and thankfully had it to ourselves. Thanks.

We had a great stay at Little Wind Farmette! We really enjoyed the goats and calf. The mountain view was spectacular and the camp felt safe.

This was a good spot to stay as I was looking to make a stop to break up my trip from Wyoming to Colorado. The sunset I saw for the one night I stayed here was incredible.

Fun, unique camping in a family farm setting. The spots are nestled between two areas where horses roam and a herd of goats. A couple of geese will announce your arrival! We bought the pass to "recreate" on the Indian land across the street- but I wouldn't recommend it. The pass is $25 and the lake area is mucky, buggy and without much charm. Much better to sit at the site and watch the ponies play.

Beautiful surroundings and a quiet location. There was no fire-pit so future campers should be sure to bring a small camp stove for any food-items needing heating. Ellie was a great hostess, provided great directions and a warm welcome. Will look to stay again next time I'm in the area.

It was a quaint little farm with great views and beautiful sunsets. Was a little narrow for getting a medium size trailer in but it made it through. Host was extremely friendly. May have just been where we parked but had lots of ants around our spot. Wasn’t a big deal since we were inside our camper, but would have been a nuisance if we were in a tent. There were plenty of other spots to try.

Ellie’s land was beautiful. A simple, picturesque prairie to sleep in for the night.
