Cloud Peak Llamas was established in 1987 and is known as one of North Americas Llama Pioneers. They continue to raise quality llamas for fiber, packing and disposition. We started as the first llama packer in the state of Wyoming and now we welcome campers to come and spend the night with us. While you are here, shop in the wool room where we carry luxurious alpaca and llama fiber and all kinds of llama gifts. Relax and enjoy the firepit. We are a working ranch and do not provide any hookups such as water, electricity or sewer. That would change the experience you get while staying on the ranch. RV's are welcome to use their generators. Water is available for drinking and to fill up your tank. We also have a Powder Room (toilet) for all our guests. We have two dog runs available. Your dogs need a rest while traveling so feel free to let them off leash in the dog run. We have a lot of open room so we will help you park in the pasture where you will be surrounded by the animals. We have a short dirt road leading into the ranch. If you love animals and want a ranch experience this is a campsite for you? There is not another camping experience like this. You will love it!! Each year, we are voted one of the best campsites in the state .

Site 1 - Cloud Peak Llamas and Alpacas ranch
Such a great stop! We got in after dark so when we woke up to donkeys nuzzling our camper and stairs and llamas/alpacas with the backdrop of the mountains, it was extra amazing! Toilet was very clean and the host was friendly and made sure we felt welcomed in the morning. 10/10 would recommend.

Great spot and awesome hosts!
What a great place! We stayed our 1st night on a 9 day trip from Colorado and it was a perfect stop. The hosts were very welcoming and kind. We got to see and pet all the animals including two new baby donkeys! Had a nice fire outside with the hosts and other guests. Pretty sunsets and overall a great time. Would recommend. Thank you for the stay!

Once in a lifetime opportunity!
What a unique and lovely experience. Barbara and Dwayne were the consummate hosts with the most! Helpful yet not intrusive. While we were there, 2 mini donkeys were born. A baby llama had been born 3-4 days prior to our arrival. Just lovely. Of all the possible camping spots at the property, I feel like we got the best one. We were furthest away from the main house and closest to the animals area.

Baby Donkey!
We loved RV camping at Cloud Peak Llama Ranch! We arrived very late and the hosts still met with us and helped us get parked. As for amenities they offer water from the hose to fill your tank, wifi, and a dog run that you can use to take your dog to potty or play. I highly recommend that dog owners use the dog run, since the llamas and donkeys have babies, and can get protective of them around predators and will defend them if necessary. While the llamas were not fond of dogs they LOVE people, we pet on llamas, donkeys, mini horses, goats, and a beautiful buckskin horse. There was a baby donkey that was born the night we stayed that came up to us for pets. It was amazing. The hosts were good people and were very welcoming, we hung out and chatted for a while before we had to leave.
