Rugged mountains and clear lakes offer year-round adventure at this gorgeous park
Rugged peaks rise from the plains in this majestic park, creating beautiful views from every angle. The mountains are packed with activities, including hiking, skiing, rock climbing, and fishing. Nearby, clear lakes and rivers draw anglers and boaters.
The vast Grand Teton wilderness overflows with adventure. Ride horses through the hills, or go whitewater rafting and fishing on the Snake River. Interested in wildlife? Watch for bears and elk along the rivers and lakes.
When the snow melts, head out into the mountains for backcountry camping. Rocky cliffs provide excellent climbing routes — or, hike 230 miles of trails.
For families, try the shorter routes to Moose Ponds or Leigh Lake. In the winter, there’s skiing, ice skating, snowshoeing, and dog sledding.
