This peaceful, off-the-beaten-path retreat offers unbeatable lake views, crisp mountain air, and plenty of room to breathe. Whether you’re sipping coffee at sunrise or roasting marshmallows by the fire pit under the stars, this site makes it easy to unplug and unwind. The site includes electrical hookups, porta-potties, and a handwashing station. While there’s no running water, you’ll have the essentials—just be sure to bring your own water supply. Enjoy direct lake access for ATVs, perfect for exploring the shoreline and surrounding terrain. Please note: during periods of high water, beach access may be limited. The beach is usually present at the 5,916 foot water elevation. https://www.bearriverbasin.org/reservoirs/bear-lake-area The walk to the lake is approximately 1,000 feet to the back gate, with an additional walk or ride across public trust land depending on current water levels. This area between our property and the lake is regulated by the Idaho Department of Lands and is considered state-owned public land, meaning we are not permitted to modify or maintain the path beyond our property line. As such, conditions may vary and the path may occasionally be muddy or difficult to navigate. While access may require extra care, we’ve personally made the walk with our children (ages 5 to 15) even in high water years. The lake in this area is very shallow for several hundred feet, making it ideal for wading and kid-friendly fun when the beach is exposed. There is no on-site boat launch, but public ramps are just a short drive away. Please note there are a couple of shallow ditches on the property that may occasionally hold standing water. These have never posed an issue, but we recommend keeping an eye on young children just to be safe. Also, FIREWORKS ARE NOT ALLOWED. With plenty of space to spread out and no crowded campgrounds in sight, this spot is ideal for RVers and campers seeking peace, privacy, and unforgettable views. **Off season dates 09/25 - 04/26 no potties or wash station available during this time. Only RV's, camper vans and camper trailers allowed. During winter months the site may be inaccessible due to snow**

Learn more about this land: Open for 2025 This property offers a pavilion that measures 16x20, and a picnic table that can seat 10-12 people. We have extended our tent pad to be able to add up to 4 big tents measuring roughly 40x17-18. Please be honest about the number of guests that are coming max is 20, if you want more than that don't hesitate to get in touch with me separately. Mostly cause I clean and want to ensure it's clean for the next camper. This tent site is PACK IN PACK OUT. I don’t have city services, if you need trash services It's $7.50 per TRASH BAG that I need to take out. Outhouse is a pit toilet, but I make sure it does not stink and is extremely clean. I only have it listed as 1 place so you can have a family reunion or just come as a family. When you come to our place we have an accenting driveway, and a large boulder retaining wall with a gray gate to keep the camp secured and keep range cows out. This property is a working homestead. YOU WILL SEE ANIMALS and hear US working especially if you hike up the main road where we live. WE HAVE separation however we are still needing to manage the land and the animals. The campsite we don't enter, but we have to access the main road to run errands or go to work. We do our own thing and the campers do their own thing. If you are curious about the farm and operations we are happy to show you around and you are welcome to explore but you WILL RUN INTO us :) we don't mind as long as you don't mind. Bring your toys, such as bikes, 4-wheelers, and ATVs we have some fun trails close by that go to the back of Worm Creek Basin that goes on for miles of beautiful trails.

This has become a great place for our family to go to get away for the weekends. The nights are absolutely beautiful and you can see the stars. You can hear the coyotes off in the distance chipping and howling. My kids love to ride their ATV on the trails and we go for hikes and just relax. There is one fire pit for use at each camp spot (2 spots), just please go into the trees and find some wood to re-stack what you have used and ensure it is out with water and dirt. I fight wildfires during the summer and don’t want to have to fight one up there. Plus I may be hard to reach depending on where I’m located. Learn more about this land: Our Bear Lake Bascamp is perfect for boondocking or pitch a tent and camp in our 5 acres meadow or find a small shady spot in the 5 acres of  quakies and pine trees!  Off grid camping! OHV trails (ride from camp), bring your mountain bikes or even just go for a hike. Located at the edge of the Caribou-Targhe National Forest, Montpelier Ranger District, Idaho. The sunrises are amazing and in the evening you can listen to the coyotes off in the distance. It is open in the winter for snowshoeing or snowmobiling in with wood ready for the fire pit!  Recommend, that when you first arrive, build a small fire in the fire pit and the smoke will get rid of any of the bugs around.  We get up there about 1 time a month and mow/trim the path, parking and work on the trails in the pines.   Turn left at the smile face....When you see it, you'll know what I mean ;)  Please be respectful of others who have property in the area as well.  Don't climb over anyone's fences.

Bristol is bordered by the Portneuf River to the North and Mt Moh to the South, offering river access and a host of trails. Fishing in the river is great, boasting rainbow, cut throat, brook and brown trout. There's also a few great swimming holes right below the property, including a 15 ft. waterfall. Guests may hike trails to the old mines, or be directed to a plethora of trails for biking nearby. The setting at Bristol is uniquely peaceful for the busy tourist town of Lava Hot Springs. Although still technically within city limits, the place offers an atmosphere of it's own, seemingly outside of time. Once a miners camp and stage coach stop along the Oregon Trail, we have worked hard to maintain the buildings and grounds. With an abundance of trees, (bonus if you can name all varieties) the main compound is well shaded through the hot summer months. Our single room, quaint cabins have a shared bathroom with showers and towels available. We are a minutes walk from the hot springs and downtown, so no need to fight for a parking spot!

The property is absolutely beautiful. We rolled up just in time for an epic sunset. The yurt is cozy and warm, thanks to the propane fireplace and charming decor. Even the kitchen sink and outhouse are ingenious and adorable. The guidebook to the yurt was so cute and informative--our daughter enjoyed flipping through the handwritten and drawn pages. It's clear that a lot of love went into this space. We'd definitely stay here again!

After a minor matter with the power receptacle and the host having a branch trimmed on a tree due to the size of our RV, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this to others.

Kristine was so helpful when we needed a last minute spot to camp and had no idea where to go! This was our first time using Hipcamp and I was worried I wouldn't hear back from her promptly especially since we were only 10 minutes away when I reached out. Thank God she replied right away, reassured me that she had the perfect place for us to setup and even met us at the front door. Absolutely beautiful property with views of the mountains and privacy. It was an absolute lifesaver after two months of Boondocking across the country and never knowing what you're going to get! Thank you Kristine, we will be sure to visit again on our way back home ❤️

After passing the KOA East you will start going up a hill. Continue up the hill for .5 miles. You will see a Lava Campground sign take you first right onto Fish Creek Road and then another immediate right onto Fish creek extension road. This road will bring you down into the campground. Lava Campground is a local family owned Campground. Cameron and Annie along with their 2 boys Kash and Jaxson built Lava Campground from the ground up. They have always embraced the company of others and love when people can come stay and play with them. When they decided to build a campground they were excited about the possibility to create a place for people to feel at home and have a great time camping. They have an endless need for adventure, anything outdoors and fun- sign them up! They have fallen in love with the campground and being part of the Lava Hot Springs community. The new friends they've made during ownership have been priceless to them. Each year Cam and Annie continue to make improvements to the campground. The creativity they hold is endless and their goal is to make the campground a place where people truly want to be and hope that people feel like part of their family during their stay. Lava Campground is a gem and unique. Cam and Annie came up with the idea to rent out the vintage campers which has become the theme for Lava Campground. They've designed the entire property to give a blast from the past kind of feeling. With a vintage playground, glamping wall tents, 5 remodeled retro campers, studio apartment, and spacious RV and tents sites. Hi! Happy you found us! We grew up recreating in this area and it's absolutely beautiful! Our family still has the annual tradition of snowmobiling from Monte Cristo, stopping for lunch at Hardware Ranch, and continuing on to Bear Lake. The trails are endless in these mountains and the solitude abundant. Our property is smack in the middle between Monte Cristo parking lot and Hardware Ranch. It is the perfect location to set up camp and be ready hit the trails first thing in the morning. This area is a recreation mecca with access to miles and miles of national forest trails less than a mile away! Mountain Desert at its best. Learn more about this land: If you are on your way somewhere and need a place to campout, consider stoping here. In the spring when the creek is full, it is a fun place for kids to play (it dries up in July usually). There is a lot of open space. We have a trampoline and swing and fire pit we can share (fire pit for spring and early summer only). It's very peaceful out here. There are tons of flat roads to ride bikes safely on. It's 30 mins from Bear Lake, 20 Minutes from Monte Cristo. There is fishing nearby and a park around the corner. 15-20 amp electrical hookup (just a standard household plug with an extension cord) and water as well. We have kids who love to make you feel welcome and play with your kids too.

Located in Mantua, UT, a small mountain valley in Cache National Forest on the Wasatchback of the Rocky Mountains of Utah. A ten minute walk to Mantua Reservoir for ice fishing in the winter, kayaking, boating, water skiing, fishing in Spring, Summer, & Fall. Pickleball courts are a 10 minute walk away. Mountain biking, four wheeling, side-by-side adventure right outside your RV door to Willard Peak and the beautiful Northern Wasatchback. Use of my huge lawn (next to the field where you park) for lawn games (provided for a small fee), and my in-ground fire pit are available for your enjoyment - must be reserved. Friendly dogs are very welcome - my white Lab is always looking for new friends! 3 miles down Box Elder Canyon to two large grocery stores, Walmart, gas stations, restaurants, and gyms. One hour to skiing at Snow Basin (home of 2002 Olympic downhill), Powder Mountain to the south and Beaver Mountain to the north. World's largest game bird refuge and museum 10 minutes west down the canyon. Utah State University 30 minutes to the north and Weber State University 30 minutes to the south. Box Elder Creek is a 5 minute walk into Box Elder Campground, the poppy hill (2 weeks in June), and wonderful hiking opportunities. This property was used by the Shoshone Indian tribe as a summer camp area. Later after the pioneers came they set up a dance floor and had parties here. The dance floor has since overgrown. This property has also been the host to never dams. It has been in our family for many years and we have enjoyed it.Learn more about this land:The campsites are located in a wooded area so lots of shade. 2 sites are creek side along maple creek and the other has a small stream and a pond. All sites have a fire pit available. All sites are carry in carry out. Easily accessible with a four wheel drive. You will need to cross maple creek to reach site 1. The road down to the river bottoms is a bit steep so 4 wheel drive is recommended. This area is ideal for tent camping.

This is grain bin glamping. Expect it to be like camping except for not in a tent.. there is power enough for lights and to power your devices. The temperatures are the same as inside a tent. I have 2 bins available that sleeps 2 each. There is a porta potty next to each one. There will be outdoor showers, but currently the shower bathroom, it's up at the barn. This is still under development, so more will be added with every grain bin having it's own unique personality. This is also the best views of bear lake that you can get. This area of the property often as deer rabbits, and sometimes even moose strolling through it. No wood fires during the summer months, as it's too dry. I will provide a gas fire for an extra cost.
