Past trips
in Raystown Lake, Pennsylvania
This was a great boat-to-shore campground, though they were eliminating a lot of the trees when we went last year. This means we may not be able to return, since we primarily hammock camp; but, for tenters with boats (we kayak) it's a nice, quiet campground. You will need to bring your own water!

This is primarily RV camping, and getting a spot is really difficult. People are only supposed to stay for 2 weeks, but many just re-register and live there for the summer.
in Polihale State Park, Hawaii
in Monongahela National Forest, West Virginia
These hike-in sites fill up quickly on weekends, and there are no reservations. Go during the week if you can!
in Assateague Island National Seashore, Maryland
Bring bug spray. Also, make sure your coolers are either lockable, secured with bungees and clips, or in your car.
