Country Camping
in Country Camping, New HampshirePerfect b&b farm setting
So many positives at this beautiful B&B farm setting with all the amenities of a campground and the added plus of being the only camper around. Quit and serene. I highly recommend this site as long as your leveling skills are up to par. Hopefully, with time, the loose gravel will settle and lock, but after hurricane rains, my jacks sunk in making leveling a challenge. Also, do not be intimidated by the short bit of dirt road before turning right into the farmhouse. It is short and I was able to safely pass with the needed 12’6” height requirement of my unit. Well worth the effort.
Deep Creek Lake, Waterfront Camping
in Lake Camping, MarylandLakeside location
The site is located next to Deep Creek Lake, a popular recreation area for boating, fishing and water sports. This is a great location for a family to come, camp and enjoy the lake complete with boat and kayak rentals next door. There are also non-lake family fun things to do from a zip-line center and entertainment activities near by.
The actual site is a 100 x 100 ft lakefront lot with a paved area next to the road to park the RV and grass area the extends 100 ft down to the lake to set up chairs, etc. The host, David was very accommodating and promptly answered all my questions about the site prior to arrival. To insure the door is facing the lake when you pull in, it is best to drive south on Deep Creek Drive so you can just pull in.
As stated, the parking area is adjacent to the road. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon so there was allot of traffic which tapered down as the evening progressed. By nightfall there was no traffic. I would suggest bringing reflectors to put out next to your unit to aid drivers passing by at night.
Cell service was good (2 bars AT&T). Since you are there with no one around, running a generator poses no problem. Trash has to be taken out, but there were plenty of places near by so disposal was not a problem.
Overall, I would give this site 4 stars mostly because it is next to the road; otherwise, everything else was fine.
