Past trips
in Joshua Tree National Park, California
Definitely show up early if you want to grab a good spot. We visited on a Thursday in the middle of October and almost every campsite was taken. There are some really incredible places to camp and some pretty mediocre ones, so plan accordingly.
in Mount San Jacinto State Park, California
Taking the tram up was a great way to escape the heat of Palm Springs. We still broke a sweat with a solid 7 miles of hiking, but it was really enjoyable. I would say it was definitely worth the $25.
in Carson National Forest, New Mexico
Getting up there is a little iffy, but totally worth it!
