Bring mosquito repellent
in Seminole Canyon State Park & Historic Site, Texas
Very windy. Camping area is an open, windswept flat area with no wind breaks. A bit bleak, but there are really no other decent options nearby.
in Kings Canyon National Park, California
Tarantulas on the move in the summer...
in Sequoia National Forest, California
in Davis Mountains State Park, Texas
Beautiful spot, and close enough to Fort Davis to easily get basic groceries in small stores. But you will have a better selection in Alpine, about 25-30 minutes south.
in Big Bend National Park, Texas
Bring your own food! Limited selection at the camp store. Note that there is a generator-free area of the campground, spots 21-27 odd, 40, 41-49 odd, 94-100 even.
