Past trip
in Backwoods Browns, MichiganWe enjoyed our two night stay at Hidden Drive. Close to downtown Douglas and less than 10 min Saugatuck. We had the space to ourselves which was nice for the privacy. The three spots are kind of close, so, it would be great for a group or if youâre interested in being social. There is a house on an adjacent private property nearby, but, for the most part trees provided privacy. We were in a Promaster Van and it was tight, I think an RV would be challenged. Luckily we were the only ones there and could leave the van in the lane between spots. Cars/SUVs tent camping would fit perfectly. Also, this is not far off a road, cars could be heard but the traffic was really light and not an deterrent. Each space had a fire pit, wood was provided and there was a trash bin. In warmer months water is provided. The host offered to make an accommodation since theyâd shut if off for the season but we didnât need it. Overall we enjoyed the location and the spot and would use it again.

Rockingbird Meadow - Camp 11
in Rockingbird Meadow, CaliforniaNice options near yosemite
Campsites seemed spread out on property and I felt completely private. Short dirt and gravel roads were pretty manageable with 2WD. The campsite had chairs and fire ring set up and the host offers fire wood bundles for a small fee if requested. Itâs about an hour from Yosemite and there seemed to be options for food and gas in town. I didnât stay both nights booked because I am not a fan of driving winding mountain roads and snagged a campsite in the park last minute but enjoyed my night there.

Site C-5
in Terminal 4, CaliforniaWake up to bay views
Lovely views of the bay in the morning and Andrew was helpful when I got turned around. It is definitely an industrial worksite, people arrived in the morning and were actively doing stuff. The property seemed large with a lot of trucks, containers and old vehicles/RVs on site. Perhaps if I had arrived before dusk it would have been less ominous to explore. It would have been cool spot traveling in a group or with a partner. I did enjoy waking up early and enjoying the bay views with my breakfast. Thereâs also a beach and bbq/boating club not far.
