Reid Ranch
in Reid Ranch, CaliforniaFantastic family camp site!
My family and I really enjoyed camping at Brent's site during our stay in the San Diego area. After camping for a couple weeks in campgrounds, we found this site to be almost like glamping -- outdoor sink and counter space, picnic table with umbrella and lights, an RV with a toilet, shower, microwave, and sink, as well as a separate fire-pit area with seating, a cooler, and a grill. My kids loved climbing around the boulders and seeing the red tailed hawks that live in the trees nearby. Brent was quick and helpful with communication as well. There are lots of shops nearby and the beach isn't too far either. Highly recommend!
Site 1
in Scenic Turtle Ridge, PennsylvaniaBeautiful farm, lovely hosts
My daughter and I had a great stay at Scenic Turtle Ridge this past weekend. The farm, which borders Hibernia County Park, is absolutely beautiful, and offers 4 campsites to guests. We stayed in Site 1, which sits on a low rise overlooking a large pond. It includes a picnic table and a large and beautifully designed fire pit. Guests are welcome to use an inside bathroom and can purchase amenities on the honor system if needed, like a s'mores kit, toothbrush, firewood, iced tea, coffee, etc. We were the only campers this weekend and it was such a treat to have the whole area to ourselves. We enjoyed seeing the animals on the farm and hiking a bit the next day at Hibernia. This would be a great spot to return to in the future -- I'm so glad we discovered it!
