Lot in coastal campground
in Lot in coastal campground, VirginiaPros:
- Good communication with host
- Wide, flat site with easy access to hookups
- Nice deck available to campers
- Easy access to Chincoteague and other beaches
- Bath house is close and convenient to site.
Cons:
- LOUD. I know it was a holiday weekend, but there were parties, fireworks, and golf carts driving around all hours of the night. We didn't get much sleep.
- Bath house was locked on the 2nd day and stayed locked. We had to drive to the next closest one, which was very dirty.
- A whole lot of Confederate flags in this campground - every 4th or 5th trailer. We are a multiracial family and have camped nearby before and felt comfortable. We did not feel comfortable here and did not use any of the amenities because of it. I didn't even feel safe letting my teenage child go to the bathroom alone.
We spent as much time away from the campground as possible during our stay. We would have left early if other sites in the area had been available.
