Past trip
in East Harbor State Park, OhioWe LOVED this campground. Make sure you head over to the group camp area to check out the information on the original owners, and to see their gravestones. The kids had a blast just exploring. The restrooms were clean. (and we're pretty picky about that.) The whole area was just nice to go to. :) We absolutely will be going again.
Past trip
in Caesar Creek State Park, OhioThis campground seems to be set up more for RVs and campers, BUT the spot we chose for tent camping was perfect. The restrooms were clean but older. They could definitely do with some updating. But I'll take old and clean over new and dirty. Make sure to check out the activity fliers they hand out. We were able to take our kids canoeing for no charge because the park had free activities that weekend. The kids were comfortable just exploring (we were in a more wooded area of the park) and we even were privileged to watch some bats eat their breakfast at dusk. :) We will be going here again. :
Past trip
in Hocking Hills State Park, OhioIt's Old Man's Cave! Hard to go wrong here. Another spot that seems to be more suited to RV camping than tent camping. WE actually paid to stay in the group area because were with a few other families. Loved the spot. Close to the restrooms, showers, laundry, and the kids favorite: the pool! It was hot when we went to s it was nice for the kids to get to cool off in the pool. The restroom was clean. If you find yourself needing to use the laundry (like we did thanks to some rain, and a leaky tent..... thankfully it was just some wet towels) make sure you have some change, and bring your own detergent and fabric softener. We definitely plan on going again.
Jenelle hasn't gone on any trips yet.
Hipcamp Hosts can leave an optional review of their Hipcampers after the trip is completed. This is where those reviews from Hipcamp Hosts will appear.
