Uncle B's Farm
in Uncle B's Produce Farm, South DakotaWe loved staying at Brian's hipcamp on our way through South Dakota! Very generous host, tent site was perfect and bathrooms were clean and a welcome opportunity to get cleaned up after days on the road. We enjoyed chatting upon arrival and hope we can stay with him again in the future.
Campsite 3 - Backwoods Bothy
in Tir na nOg Farm, MaineJuly 4 at tir na n og!
Our family of 4 adults and 2 kids (8 and 10) had a wonderful time camping at Tir Na N Og Farm! I definitely recommend it if you want to camp on a farm, learn about land restoration and fossil-fuel free farming, or stay at a place near Portland for easy day trips. We had 2 camp sites that fit family size tents (REI Kingdom 6 and Base Camp 6), 1 site between the outhouse, greenhouse, and bee house, and the other a 5 minute walk back in the woods. Holly and Sue gave us multiple tours of the farm which we thoroughly enjoyed, and they had set up a small kiddie pool which the 8 year old LOVED. We also had a fire at night and appreciated the multiple chair options. If you stay at campsites in the woods please make sure to do a tick check! We pulled off a few ticks during our stay, including a nymph that had embedded near my knee. We hope to return to the farm again soon!
