Possum Farm Camp
in Possum Tail Farm, West VirginiaMy two kids and I returned for our second stay at Possum Farm Camp and once again had a great stay! The farm to table dinner option was delicious and a convenient option for the day of arrival after setting up camp. We spent a day at nearby Swallow Falls State Park and enjoyed swimming in the rapid water. The farm was a great home base to return to, watching the moon rise, hearing owls hooting and roasting sâmores over the campfire. We really enjoyed the outdoor shower experience- there was a two hour window of shower availability in the mornings. The chickens calling out in the morning make sure campers donât sleep in too late :). I enjoyed watching the diversity of wild birds flying around the gardens as I ate breakfast at the picnic table, a hummingbird hovered nearby to check me out. The farm is a lovely and peaceful place to camp and we hope to return again!
Possum Farm Camp
in Possum Tail Farm, West VirginiaGreat experience on the farm. :)
We really enjoyed our stay at Possum Tail Farm. There is a shared fire ring which I asked about in advance and Jennifer was great about getting back to me. There was a picnic table for just us to use which was appreciated. Compost toilet near tent area and the nearby house had a full bathroom with flush toilet and shower available to campers. Trees shield the house from the campsite so itâs secluded enough. We requested a farm to table meal which was delicious- cheeseburgers, tomato salad and fruit salad. We signed up for the farm tour which was a neat experience for my two sons (10 and 12) and myself. The campsite is only three miles from a gas station and small town. 30 minutes away is Swallow Falls State Park in Maryland which was recommended to us by Jennifer and we are so glad we went- we were able to wade in the shallow areas and there were plenty of people swimming too. There were two other parties camping during our visit and they were close enough to see and hear, but not unlike most campsites youâll find at a state park and everyone was friendly. A very pleasant place to camp and a great host family.
Glamp at The Experience Farm
in The Experience Farm, PennsylvaniaPeaceful farm and a gracious host.
We enjoyed our early season glamping experience at this farm. Wesley was very helpful and accommodating - responding to questions quickly. We enjoyed the fresh milk, eggs, and breakfast items that were provided. The best part was being able to have a camping experience but without having to haul everything - tent, beds are already set up, kitchen is ready to go and the open air shower is very nice. I loved being able to enjoy my morning coffee and watch the sunrise without being surrounded by other campers/campsites. Highly recommend!
